Just finished replacing front/rear pads. Front as per normal just use clamp to push back piston; as for the rear brakes there was no Forscan tool required nor sequence of ignition on/off in combination with EPB. Disconnected EPB connector from the calipher; from the connector on the calipher I used two jumpers, one from each prong in the plug to a 12v battery; ensure the connectors to the calipher don’t touch each other while connected to the battery or damage to the EPB electric motor could occur; I used insulated connectors. Plug the jumpers into the calipher connector then attached one jumper to positive on the battery then touch the other jumper on the negative then EPB electric motor will start winding, keep your eye on the piston if the piston starts to push out of the calipher stop and swap jumpers on the battery, let the motor run until the piston starts to rotate; this is just a few seconds. Now you can push back the piston and complete the brakes and normal. Works like a charm!
