Absolutely! I haven't figured out how to access them without pulling the nose off. Any suggestions?I need those two hooks painted - STAT !
Just mask off the front and do a couple plastic dip coats- Works pretty good just be careful when you are removing the masking- I had some of the paint catch and it pulls up easy after drying.Absolutely! I haven't figured out how to access them without pulling the nose off. Any suggestions?
That can work. Was hoping to get them powder coated, but we'll see where we go. Thanks!Just mask off the front and do a couple plastic dip coats- Works pretty good just be careful when you are removing the masking- I had some of the paint catch and it pulls up easy after drying.
Air Design and EGR offer flares that use adhesive. The Bushwackers use the existing mounting plugs of the fenders.Your Mav looks very nice! I am trying to decide between the Bushwacker and Air design fender flares.
Do they line up correctly? Also, it looks like you have the the OEM wheels/tires does it make it look like the wheels are undersized? Some folks have gone with a larger wheel setup to offset this issue.Air Design and EGR offer flares that use adhesive. The Bushwackers use the existing mounting plugs of the fenders.
I didn't really want to alter the ride characteristics or buy a new set of tires/wheels. But the OEM wheels were dwarfed a bit by the Bushwacker flares. The spacers are hub centric, so they're centered and solid and the added 2" does the trick for me.Do they line up correctly? Wife knows bestMy wife wanted a cyber orange truck so she would always be able to find it. I didn't want that color and we got an alto blue Lariat FX4 instead. With that being said your truck is smoking hot and beautiful! Congrats on a great truck, almost changed my mind.
Trying to figure our the best means of making a viable clip. Just sitting and revving the engine doesn't do it justice. Low speed cruising sounds decent, and it's a healthy sound under acceleration and WOT. Give me a little bit, I'll figure something out...any chance you have vids of the exhaust sound or soundclip interior and extieor thinking of flowmaster myself
Greetings, all.
The 2023 Blackheart Edition Cyber Orange Maverick XLT FX4 (*takes moment to inhale*) is just about done. My mods are pretty mild:
- Flowmaster muffler and tailpipe muffler delete
- Supreme Suspensions 2" wheel spacers
- Bushwacker pocket flares
- Tufskinz grill applique
- Oedro hard trifold tonneau
- Rough Country tailgate damper
- Klutchtech hood struts
- MGP caliper covers
- Hood decal by Rocky Mountain Graphics
- generic grill lights (need to wire them up)
- various personalization decals
Okay, enough boring you for now. That said, got a bunch of pics. Now to devote attention to my 68 Ranchero resto. Hope your projects are kicking tail!
