2022 XLT Order

I ordered my limited options XLT in Jan 2022. I have heard nothing from Ford, no email etc. The dealer states that they confirmed the order is being processed and I will hear something as soon as there is actually a build date. Trying to read through the thousands of posts, seems like 10 months is to be expected but I also read not to expect delivery until 2023. Is that about right or am I off base?

10 months from order to delivery might be optimistic. My order was confirmed 06/29/2021 and as of today, per Ford Customer Service, the projected build date is now 08/15/2022. Per Ford Customer Service build scheduling is based on parts availability/constraints AND SIZE OF DEALERSHIP you ordered from (allocation) , Ford schedules orders from large dealerships before those from small dealerships.

The tri-fold is probably a large factor. And being the last month of ordering.

I asked because I ordered my XLT FX4 ecoboost on Jan 19th with just a full size spare and floor mats and it was delivered in early April.
As Darnon said, assuming you didn't order CP360 or Lux, it is probably the tri-fold that has held up yours. I'd be inclined to contact your dealer and remove the tonneau cover which is easy to install after delivery.

I ordered mine the very same day. Same build with the Lux pkg. Built 4/20 and delivered on 5/13. You may want to see what the Dealer says. My dealer updated me weekly on the process. Good luck. It's worth the wait.

what June 2022 mail update? Latest reliable information I read on here was that the communication would happen end of JULY or even August 1st.

FWIW, have you checked with your dealer to see if they used their own Email address for Ford correspondence on your truck? You should have gotten emailed confirmation your order was received shortly after it was entered into the system. Some dealers have been doing this for some reason...

Mine, minus the trifold is the same as you described. Ive been driving it for over a month now. I ordered jan 17th. Perhaps your dealer doesnt have enough allotments. Eb non constraint orders should be a 4-6 month turnover at worst from what my dealer told me

There was a email from Ford with an “update” to those customers who are still unscheduled……was posted on this forum by a member, I too remember it but can’t find the damn thing! Anybody have that email????

Update. I bailed. Got a good deal on a 21 maverick with 10k miles. It is a lariat vice XLT but the price difference was worth it.
