Good afternoon, test fit my new wheels today before I got the tires mounted and when the truck was jacked up the wheel was sticking out pretty far past the fender. Wheel specs are 20x8.5 with a 35mm offset. I figured these would stick out just a hair more but wanted to make sure I’m not seeing things that when they are mounted and on the ground they won’t stick out way past the fender.

Any insight would be appreciated

The wheel won't but the tires will. Which in turn will make the whole assembly look like it's sticking out further. Why only 35 offset? What size tires?

While +35 is just a hair more aggressive than stock, your new wheel is 1" wider which means even more poke than just the minor difference in offset.

I've got 20x8.5 with +40 offset and my front tires stick out about 3/4" while the rears are almost perfectly flush. Just the way it is since Ford gave the front a wider track width and the body tapers a touch narrower towards the front. Both of those factors work against the Maverick in terms of wheel flushness and overall aesthetics without a custom set of staggered wheels. Hasn't bothered me enough to add a spacer to the back yet but do wish I would have found a higher offset wheel to bring the fronts in.
