Only 1 Lock button press is needed - a 2nd time merely honks to confirm it like you moved too far away to hear it lock and want to confirm. No benefit otherwise I've observed in 24MY.
I press the fob lock button twice whenever I park the truck in my garage overnight. I read (correctly or incorrectly) on MTC that double-lock fob press shuts down some of the Hybrid clickety-clack relays after the truck is parked. I do everything I can to extend battery life, hence my double-locking. Even on models newer than '23, it's probably still possible to disable the annoying horn honk in FORScan, although I cannot confirm that.

The damned horn loudly honking in my garage was one reason I disabled it. I also hate inconsiderate horn noise in parking lots. The worst is when you're walking 2 feet away from the front of a vehicle and some oblivious idiot locks their vehicle from a distance and the horn honks.

The flashing lights are plenty of notification that you locked your vehicle.
