I've had my Maverick Hybrid XLT for about a month now, I've driven about 4000 miles. Some highway, some city.

Overall, a very positive experience. The truck is everything I expected. I added a Truxedo soft cover, floor mats, bed mat and a tailgate mat.

Mileage is interesting. City and mixed driving is spectacular. 45mpg is not at all uncommon. I use ECO mode a lot to stretch the mileage. Interstate driving is another matter. Here in Missouri, interstate speed limits are 70 mph, but I go Oklahoma a lot where speed limits are often 75 or 80. At 80mph, mileage drops to 30mpg or so.

If I had a complaint, its the wind noise at highway speeds. I came from a 2018 Chevy Equinox, which was a wonderful car to drive on the interstate. By comparison, the Maverick is noisy at 70-80 mph, but it's a TRUCK. I expected that.

When I'm talking on my handfree phone interface at highway speeds, people say they can't hear me for the road noise. Anybody else have this experience?

But, I'm being picky. I love the vehicle. Mine is Atlas Blue, and it's a head-turner.

About same here. My EB actually does almost as well on Interstate … maybe 2-3 mph less, but love both of them

re - Wind noise when using phone at highway speeds in XL/XLT: There was a post here on MTC by an XL or XLT owner who opened up the little bay where the microphone is, and found there was zero insulation (sound deadening) in that area. I believe he added some insulation behind / around the microphone, and found it improved the situation quite a bit.

I have a Lariat Hybrid (which evidently already has that insulation) because wind noise when using the phone is not an issue, even at 75-80 mph.
