Guess I should mention: Lariat FX4 with tow package, and all package options. No sunroof. Also updated the instrument cluster software to provide all terrain/drive modes, including Sport, which is generally unavailable on FX4 vehicles.

She's for sale:::::::::::: I've acquired a new vehicle for a project, and the Mav has to go! Comes with these 295/45/18's on custom drilled wheels, white wheels with snow tires, and a full set of BFG's- just to mix it up whenever ya want. Currently about 8500 miles, and equipped with Buschur's...

BORA sells spacers that have integrated studs, depending on the width and style you specify. Check out the website; you can also specify a different bolt pattern if you want to use a wheel that isn't available in the factory pattern.

The brand is BORA. They will custom-machine spacers to your specs. Turnaround time is just a few weeks.
  5. Upgraded to Corsair 2.3T turbo (on EcoBoost Maverick)!

The 8-speed has only been around for a couple model years now, and is only used with the 2.0l ecoboom, as far as I'm aware. In our market, it's in the Escape, Bronco Sport, and Maverick, which are all rated at the same output. Stands to reason that if it were used in a higher-output application...
  6. Upgraded to Corsair 2.3T turbo (on EcoBoost Maverick)!

This is NOT the same transmission as the Edge ST. Similar in design, but not rated for the same torque capacity.

Just installed: Bushwacker fender flares, along with 40mm front and 50mm rear wheel spacers from BORA. A bit of fender liner rubbing on tighter turns, but not terrible. The body shop will do a little trimming to clearance in a couple of weeks. With the wheel offset, track width is now nearly 6...

I was able to order a 5x108. They had 2 offsets available; mine is +22. I am running hubcentric rings in the front, and hubcentric 10mm spacers in the rear to get the stance close to square, the rear track is a bit narrower.

Absolutely, at least at stock tire diameter of 29". I got no rub at all at stock height. Now with the drop, I get a slight rub at high steering angles, but not enough to effect my daily driving. With my particular setup, there was absolutely no rubbing at all when at stock height. But the...

Nope, normal version. Preload was/is fine. It's not the spring rate that makes it a bit bouncy, it's the damper; to be fiar, however, I am coming out of a German car with very high-end track suspension. Not a fair comparison. The ride on these reminds me much of almost every Japanese tuner car...

A few days in, I'd say I guess they're not terrible. They come across as over-sprung and under-damped, though I continue to play with the damper settings. They're pretty jittery and nervous for a street setup, but they're what's currently available. The front struts are also not inverted, which...

Here y'are! This panel is available through Ford's accessory catalogue.

So I picked up my Mav about a month ago, after ordering in November last year. Already had a few accessories sitting here for the project, and finally got around to installing most of it. We're certainly not done, but we're on the right path! Scale coilovers and a Steeda rear sway inderneath...
