Good morning ListedGuru
You found a workaround for your multimeter and it seems to work and display properly so that is great!
Things you can do from this point, for reference.
Confirm what type and quality of 12 volt smart charger you have. I recommend a smart charger that can charge...
Okay, I get where you are coming from and concern about the led lights being blinding.
I can see if someone replaced their rear brake lights that would be a very bad idea and should be illegal, but the 3rd brake light can't be mistaken for these due to their elevated position.
If it was...
Good day, @ListedGuru
I was re-reading your posts, and as I thought about it again (as I have been discussing 12v battery charging etc elsewhere), I remembered that you have a Flooded Lead Acid battery.
So, it could be that your FLA battery is potentially low on battery acid? That is why...
You have had a good run with that battery for sure!
My concerns are as follows...
Your battery is a FLA, and at those charge levels and at the battery charge level it is maintaining with the high charging level, have you checked the batteries electrolyte level?
I am wondering if the...
Good day, @Wmaverick
Can you add a photo of the scratches on your bumper to help those here who might be knowledgeable on bumper repairs?
They might be better able to assist with this important bit of information.
Have a good one, and sorry about your bumper scratches as that has got...
Interesting thought. But I do think charge voltage is critical for verifying proper charging of our batteries.
I don't have a constant charge indication, only me jumping out after getting home and testing the charge voltage before I shut the truck down. Then I know at least what it is as we...
Good day, @OldSarg
Nice job, it is a step and low-speed inattentive driver protection device!
But, as 2 drivers have bumped onto you already I would suggest that a good inspection of the whole hitch connection point and may be needed.
Reason for this thought is that an unknown amount...
Good morning, Listed Guru
Quick answer, we dont want our batteries to ever, ever go below 50% charge if at all possible.
Here are some battery charge levels...as I don't know what style of battery you have, I am adding all of the most likely. AGM, sealed lead acid and flooded lead acid...
No problem at all, but I do need to ask about what you feel is too bright and brings you concern?
The strobing red is nice and bright but not too bright...the replacement bulbs if you change the cargo light bulbs only come on as courtesy lights and when you need extra light while working out...
Hello @mikeps1
I helped another member here who private messaged me and was looking for more info as well.
So, to answer you faster I will attach screenshot of what I shared with them.
I hope this helps and if you need any more info, send me a pm, no worries!
Andy
Good evening
I have to support @JMJB and the suggestion to see your dealer so they maybe can do system pressure test, and whatever else they can do to find a coolant leak...and it's now on your record for warranty purposes.
If no leak found, then it also could be internal.
.any smell et...
Most definitely go with your dealer! They can do the necessary checks to confirm battery status.
Warranty is great, use it while we have it!
If you have a friend or family member, maybe a neighbour you get along with is familiar with how to properly use a multimeter and can help get you...
Good day, @ListedGuru
In order to just check your 12 volt batteries charge level, all you need is a 12 volt reading multimeter...don't go for too cheap of one, but dont go nuts either.
You just clip it onto your positive post of the battery (red clip), and connect the black clip to a...
Yes, it is staying dark here till sunrise at 0826 in the am...but thank goodness we can now afford a place with a garage. And it is a nice garage we had built my way with 10ft tall door so our camper van fits in as well. I like things squared away.
We have a sensor on the Chamberlain door...
Okay, I have one more tow story.
It was a dark and very snowy Christmas Eve and we (4 of us and our dog) were headed through Algonquin Park to Petawawa for a family Christmas.
We came across an older model Chrysler mini-van in the ditch, middle of nowhere. It was full of Quebec'ers also...
I suppose their are 2 answers I can think of that could come out of this request to complain.
1-Ford stands up a massive (maybe 2?) Tiger Team to sort out the voltage monitoring issue and actually would monitor true 12 volt charge level....down side to this is that I conjecture that this...
I am glad this finally worked out alright in the end, but it took quite a circuitous path to finally sort itself out.
Another towing story, sorry!
We were living in The Hague and another family living close to us was an RCMP couple (both), one was posted to the embassy.
Late one evening...
Yeah, I hear you.
Good news is that so far I figured out why I have never seen this 4-5 lights off...I just confirmed by looking through the windows with a flashlight and I have my interior courtesy light on the overhead console selected off.
I always have it off unless we are out late for...
