  1. Add me to the list of totaled Mavericks :( Rear ended

Awesome to see you back in another beautiful Maverick, and an upgrade for you as well! Andy
  2. Add me to the list of totaled Mavericks :( Rear ended

Good day You should be able to go buy a roll at your local hardware store. In Canada here, and I got ours at our local Canadian Tire. You can also check your favourite online retailer if that is your preference. We have a roll of the DOT good stuff we use on our reflectors along our...
  3. News: Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving Technology to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck

Ooh, ooh, pick me...I know the answer! I shudder to think though, of the mayhem when there is any inclement weather etc, snow and ice on the roads, sudden fog patches, snow streamers... Hey don't forget about sand or dust storms! People will still have to drive themselves for all those...
  4. I'm a new member from just moments ago. My concerns are related to the Maverick 12 volt battery issues.

I am of the same thought when it comes to electrical messing about, and didn't want to mess with hard wiring, piggy-backing onto fuses etc. That is why I went with the plug that uses the OBD II port for plugging our dash cams in our Maverick as well as our camper van...simple, non-invasive...
  5. OBD2 POWER AUTO TURN OFF TIME

We only use the OBD II port for powering our camera but not for data logging in any way. When we arrive at home I automatically unplug the cord from the camera and plug it back in when we leave again, just to make sure the camera doesn't suddenly start draining the battery. We don't need the...
  6. OBD2 POWER AUTO TURN OFF TIME

I agree with Quest that I also believe it is always live. I plug in my dual dash cam through the OBD II and it works great. Cheers, Andy
  7. Buying a Ford... from a Honda dealer.

Exactly what I wa thinking as I read all the posts here, get the CARFAX report on it to see if it had an unfortunate incident...if it has a lot of dealer visits if you can get the service visits that could indicate a lemon issue. Check it out and if it fits your needs and all seems good...
  8. Why does Ford want to buy my truck?

Hmmm, strange to get offers like you say you are. We bought ours end January 2025, and have not been bothered by Ford or my dealer here in Wpg. Maybe the dealers in your area are a bit more aggressive. And we wouldn't get rid of our Lariat! We aren't in the new truck every year...
  9. News: Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving Technology to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck

It was a bit of a read, but it will be interesting watching this long term skunkworks teams product make its way into the real world. I am sure there will be more info trickling out as the time for the release comes closer. Andy
  10. I'm a new member from just moments ago. My concerns are related to the Maverick 12 volt battery issues.

It is my feeling most owners dont have battery problems but @Darryl is an excellent resource (as he is a ford tech down in Florida, I believe). Look him up and check out his posts as he gives great info. Read the manual, reset your battery and relearn and good to go! Ask questions as...
  11. Random Maverick Photos of the Day Thread! 📸

We have had some ice fog the last 2 days and nights so everything is coated and sparkling. I was hoping the sun would come out as it had been so dark because of the cloud and fog, and I got my wish! Andy
  12. 2025 Hybrid - Potential Battery Drain?

So, I completed my test on this battery saver, what this thread is about. Approximately 109 hours of peace and quiet for the truck had passed. This am after I had my coffee, I strolled to the garage with truck key in pocket. -Driver door unlocked when I touched the handle (good), -...
  13. Confirmed - Battery Saver mode doesn't look at the battery health!!! Time to complain

What a great car to have for Sunday drives! I remember my oldest brothers had one in'71 and riding in the back. I think it had a 351 Cleveland in it, but I was only 4, so forgive me if I mis-remember. That thing could go! Now, for apples to apples comparison...if you had the Mav in the...
  14. New Member - Been Lurking Awhile Finally bought the Mav

Good morning, @Emaitch Nice truck, and welcome to MTC! I hope you enjoy your new truck for many happy miles! Have a good one, Andy
  15. Confirmed - Battery Saver mode doesn't look at the battery health!!! Time to complain

Sorry to jump in, Haybales! After doing a through battery recharge on my Maverick I did the relearn process...seemed like the logical thing to do to get the latest battery charge level recognized. As for your Escape, have you checked it's manual to see if a re-learn is possible? If it is...
  16. Brand new Maverick!

Now that was very nice of that particular officer, they are only doing their job. Maybe they just wanted to take a closer look at your shiny new Maverick! Andy
  17. Add me to the list of totaled Mavericks :( Rear ended

Dang, that is a great option! Ford, send me one of these, hasta pronto (I hope I spelled that right). I feel a tail-gater coming on! Andy
  18. How do I reset the OIL change reminder?

I think we don't know all the facts...like was their OLM reset properly at the last oil change? Or maybe it has been a year since the last oil change? We get a warning when a year has passed, to get an oil change. Or when mileage dictates an oil change... If it has been a year since the...
  19. Add me to the list of totaled Mavericks :( Rear ended

I agree, and I think it is time for Ford to address this fact and I demand action! I "demand" Ford send a perfectly matched set of mudflaps for my truck, to me, that features Yosemite Sam with pistols drawn, shouting "BACK OFF!!". This is my final solution as I don't think my -flashing...
  20. Brand new Maverick!

What a beautiful truck, @Gergs! Congratulations and keep your speed down as that thing will certainly attract attention (all of us with beautiful trucks know what it is like....sigh...;-). Ours is a Desert Sand, so not as eye-catching as I scoot past the speed traps. Cheers Andy
