Hello again Listed Guru
I have been thinking about your concern, and have a couple ideas to consider.
You can take your new battery to your dealer and have them install it after confirming they can/will update/ensure proper battery settings etc in your Escape for the new battery. Then...
We haven't had any recalls yet either (2025 Maverick Hybrid, brought home 25 Jan 2025) and the last update was in September.
Maybe they are saving them (if there are any by then) for when my spring oil change and tire swap is booked in mid April.
Andy
I have to agree on the reflective/chrome on the back-end of vehicles...I dislike them intensely
Reason is, I don't tail-gate, for the most part I dim my lights far before auto dims them and those shiny bits on the back still blind me. The chrome.e bits on flexible mud flaps are the worst as...
Hats off to you @okgaz
I get the effort required to think about, trouble shoot and test your theories as to your electrical drain problem.
Thanks for letting others know your thoughts process and steps taken.
Have a good one,
Andy
Good day and congrats on your new Maverick!
Answer to your query, no, there is no setting for electric only as the drive (or high voltage) battery is far too small for that.
If you are getting out on a faster road almost immediately, it might be advisable to get the ice runn9ng immediately...
That was my thought this morning, as I was cleaning snow off my driveway.
If there was any security cameras, doorbell camera footage etc available for you to access that would be so great!
I wish you good fortune in your search, I am pulling for you!
Have a nice day,
Andy
I think I found the snow Kansas lost...in my driveway!
It is pretty open from Kansas North to where I am and we have had a lot of strong winds out of the south.
Want some, come on up and help yourself, I won't mind!
😉
Sure is pretty outside right now, though...except for the...
Good day,
I just went out to the garage to my 2025 Lariat hybrid and checked for you (I have gotten the message that my free trial period has expired) and it unlocked and then I locked it again and all worked as it should.
Have a good one,
Andy
Oh, man...so sorry to see you got hit by some dudes in a parking lot.
Any chance you had a camera on board? Not likely to have gotten a pic as it is on the side and cameras in the front and back might catch them when they departed..not likely, granted.
I just hope insurance covers it...
Good day, MavTed
See, this is just a different angle as to the service in your particular area, andnI hadn't thought of that.
Our cell service is great so I hadn't thought about weak cell service from a particular provider.
It might be in someone's interest to add the service until...
Good day, Surly Bill
I may find it an intriguing thought, installing rearward bright lights to deal with dummies.
But, after careful consideration and thinking about the situation I have come to the conclusion that I would never do it.
Think of it this way...you are in court, in front...
My wife and I both have plenty of data as part of our phone plans. 100 GB each, so we use our phone data plans when we are out and about.
I should look around though to try and change my data plan to include Mexico...we are flying down to the Cancun area for a nice little break in Feb, so...
Good day, @Dave O
I just checked my updates on the app and it is more then 3 months since the last update was carried out...so I don't know how long the info remains available.
Now I am curious so will check occasionally to see if/when the update entry disappears!
Have a good one,
Andy
Yes it seems my phone is working, and I just remembered we made several phone calls while we were out and they worked as well, through the truck as well so that is good.
All good, either way. We only use our phones connected to the truck, anyways...not the rest of the stuff like wifi...
Are you sure? Real question...Our free year is over (so the message on my phone said anyways) and our Android works with the truck, still showing maps etc today, while we were out and about.
Now I will be watching to see if they pull that away.
Not a concern, only a very slight...
I think I have heard this before...years ago already but we consumers will give up anything to get what we want.
Something I do now, that may not make sense to others........any time we need to have a serious talk in our home I remove all smart/listening devices.
Almost like having a clean...
Good day
We have a 2025 Lariat bought 25 Jan, 2025.
We just ran out of our premium connectivity subscription and everything (Android) connects properly.
Extrapolating that my truck still works for connecting and using Waze, I feel yours should be fine as well.
I accidentally wrote on your other thread but hey, no harm done.
Congrats on the new blue Mav!
I can only guess how good it is to put the whole experience behind.
Drive safe,
Andy
