I havent touched the other side and not sure if I will. Seems like I would have to remove a lot of stuff to get in there and install another can.
However I will say that after I just drove the truck to Utah and back it definitely had tons of oil/gas in that catch can both when I arrived in...
The orange ones are the permanent ones. The only QD ones I've seen are blue (factory) and grey (aftermarket). I seriously doubt a tech is gonna notice either way.
If you have a link to QDs with orange tabs you should post it here for everyone.
Ok, folks! I finished creating a decoy tube to avoid any scrutiny from Ford and risking my warranty. I actually used the stock tube and put it on the new QD fittings so it can easily be removed and swapped back out with the oil catch can setup after service appointments. Takes all of 2 minutes...
The OEM one has the non-QD permanent connectors, meaning you have to break them to get them off. So if you just buy an extra set of the QD connectors and the appropriate length of hose, you can make a decoy unit that functions exactly the same as the factory setup, looks very similar, and likely...
Perfect reason to make a dummy decoy tube and swap it out when you bring it in for service. Cost ya like 25 bucks for the extra peace of mind and takes all of 3 minutes to swap out.
Yep this one came with some steel wool to go inside a little filtering area within the catch can base, which I used.
Enlighten me a bit, the second catch can you're referring to goes up front by the radiator.... right? Can you explain a bit about that. I've heard a little about it but not too...
So I finally got around to installing the oil catch can I bought before I received the truck.... 1.5 years and 13000 miles later.... (oof!)
Aside from wishing I did this sooner, the installation was actually a breeze! What I did was I popped a hole in the plastic cover by the firewall so I could...
the clips on the end of the straps are plastic. No effect at all. Believe me, I ain't doing anything to mess up the paint on my very first new vehicle!
Its www.youtube.com/@airshootist
It's an airgun hobbyist channel. Reviews, tutorials, and blastin' critters who try to get in my shed. Not for everyone, but I hope you enjoy.
Oh, also I forgot to mention this above, and this is probably the single most important feature of this tent: It is a fully enclosed tent with a floor.
Some other truck bed tents only cover the bed, lacking their own flooring material which means you're sleeping directly on the truck bed while...
Compact Short Bed.
The link I posted was the exact one I got, in the correct Compact Short Bed configuration. I unfortunately paid like 30 bucks more for mine, but I'm happy for others that the price has come down a bit since then.
Pretty cool to get a response from the Ford Official account!
The Maverick has been great! Picked it up 12/01/21 - probably one of the first couple hundred owners nationally.
I wanted a do-it-all vehicle that focuses on fun and utility, and the Maverick delivers! In these photos I had found a...
Awesome!! You're gonna like these. Plus, any purchase thru my links helps my YouTube channel a tiny bit. Won't cost you a penny more, but it'll cost Jeff Bezos a few! 🤣
Hey folks!
I know it's a little late in the season for this, so my apologies for not posting earlier! I have found the perfect truck bed tent for the Maverick as well as a perfectly fitting air mattress! So far I've used the tent & mattress about 5 times over the summer and it has been perfect...
I've always just stolen PDF versions of manuals offline. The Mav is too new for that, though.
That said, once you buy the manuals, please scan all 1000+ pages and post the PDF here like a champ for all of us.
Thanks in advance!
