Even if ford allowed the camera to function while forward driving, a dash cam with front/rear cameras is infinitely more useful for cases where you need proof of an occurance.
The camera in there now is just fine, it doesn't need to be a 360 camera, it's strictly a software setting, logic in the car is... Car_In_reverse_mode? Yes? then switch_to_camera_input
It's ford marketing that doesn't push for this ..... Maybe in a future update
I understand why ford makes certain things revert to default after ignition off, but I can't figure out why it reverts to NORMAL when the previous mode was ECO, after all it's an ECOBOOST in my situtation, they may have just called the car Ford Maverick 2.0L NORMAL-Boost.
Another is...
i'm only interested in one of the unused circuits, in which case there's going to be just one fuse, because the output of the original fuse is not connected to anything within the fuse box.
NOTE to self and anyone else: without a fuse in the fuse tap, plug in the fuse tap, (careful the wire...
Thanks for that, been less than a week with this car and still learning , I have the regular cruise, the icon is a circle with an arrow, no car above the icon.
Did you create an account on ford.ca or ford.com in your case? There you can set your preferred Units, ie. Km, Temperature Celcius/F, and Pressure, PSI etc.
I'm an old timer too and still getting used to the touch screen and steering column controls......
So far I just printed the Fuse box layouts/descriptions (both boxes), and a glossary of all the symbols that could be on the instrument panel, some are intuitive, but others I've never seen...
Going to test that and let you know what I find. But that sounds like a good plan by ford, although I'm sure they're not the only manufacturer who's doing that. I have a feeling there's an initiative by all vehicle manufacturers to find a way to reduce stolen cars. The manual...
What's the reason you did this for?
I'd be interested in finding a way to lower the vehicle a bit because my mother has trouble getting in, she's in her 90's.
11.5 seems a little low when car not running, but I'm used to older cars, where it's around 12.5 or so, and 15 volts while engine is on seems a bit higher than the older systems, which were around 14.8 or so. I used to have a voltage logger, attach to a battery and it checks the voltage...
Check the delivery date on the invoice, it's when the warranty starts, for example if the car is a demo, the warranty starts then, hopefully they didn't kick in the warranty start date when they started driving the car.
