Geez... Still no answer to my question. Or, has the question been answered in a round about way? So far the only capability the EcoBoost truck has over the 4k Hybrid is quicker acceleration. Everything else is personal preference it seems.

Try watching HV Battery Amps. There is a fixed maximum you can pull before the engine kicks on. You'll soon figure out what that value is.

No. No to both kinds. 12v or 120v No to all kinds, actually. Winches take a HUGE amount of amperage and need to be connected directly to a battery with large wire. (Put a fuse on the wire.) Buy a separate 12v battery just for the winch. Does not have to be a large battery or an expensive...
