I hope you know AI is not smart.
It is literally quoting what is posted on sites including MTC. Right or wrong, it's just quoting others without vetting the source(s).
Keep that in mind.
Since I post a lot, AI quotes me many times!
My HV batt goes UP 2% to 4% on a regular basis while parked.
Normal. It's a calc. A guess.
Not really "charging up".
Kinda like zeroing in.
Like a poll worker who got 10 responses during the day. Then got 100 responses at night, he can refine his prediction after having more data.
EV's do...
I think you can get the DTC's to show on the dash if you know the trick. Been a few years since I did it.
You still will need look up what PC9027 means.
I've had 1300 lbs in the bed several times actually. No issues except the headlamps need to be adjusted down if driving at night.
Easy to do with one screw per side.
In my case I drive loaded so often I leave my adjustment several degrees down full time, and drive with high beams full time on...
Probably, almost certainly, yes.
Hybrids are known to start perfectly; then not at all. There's usually no "hard to start" or "slow to start" conditions.
The High Voltage 220 volt battery actually starts the engine. The lower voltage 12v battery only runs the computer and the relays to start...
Try this to see if yours is "normal" or not.
Typically the "surging" happens when you have a full battery and a cold engine.
Do this:
Drive the last mile or so before parking for the night in EV only. Use EV coach to help.
Next day on a cold engine, startup and drive away in electric mode...
This is on the infotainment screen.
So not engine or powertrain related.
Probably means Taylor Swift just dropped a new album!
But seriously this isn't serious and may not even set any codes on the OBDII.
Is your CD jammed and won't eject?
😄
Also could mean a software update is available.
I'm finding there are three data sets: short - medium - long.
Short: your distance to empty calculation is only using about 150 miles of data.
Medium: your MPG indicator with bar graph in the "star" menu... same menu that holds EV coach. This calculation only holds 5000 miles of data.
Long...
Above ground tanks seen in Alaska.
And anywhere they are too lazy to dig.
I think in the city they bury for lack of space. Temperature control is probably low on the priority list.
