  1. Cracked tail light lens: suggestions?

So I banged a 2 x 10 into the tail light and put a small crack in the lens. What have you folks used to prevent it from getting worse and keeping water out? Thanks
  2. Finally got my new shoes on my Maverick + other mods

Are the holes in the rims large enough to put your foot into? I'm on the lookout for 17" rims I can use to climb into the bed.
  3. backseat latch not working

After a couple of weeks mine latched more easily. I assume the seat foam smushed around after a little while.
  4. Karavan trailers

I had the 5x8 and added semi permanent sides with tie downs. Also a couple of zip ties to manage the wire and keep it off the ground
  5. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

It looks like it mounts with 5 bolts per side. I wonder how strong that would be.... if it's strong enough, it's 'just' a fabricated bracket away from being able to add tow hooks.
  6. THE biggest design flaw! Rear 'slot' in the FlexBed for a divider is wider than width of the bed opening!

I like the 2 board solution, the bottom board a 2x2, with the corners knocked off if necessary to allow it to rotate.
  7. Washer fluid low level light

BTY you can link directly to post 18 by copying the link from the "#18" on the post. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/is-anyone-else-surprised-by-how-small-the-washer-fluid-reservoir-is.43438/post-766705
  8. Washer fluid low level light

Guess I should read the manual. Didn't know there was a washer fluid low warning light
  9. OK I'm a Idiot: installed modular bedliner before drilling holes for bolts and accessories

If you don't have the side rails already I'm a huge fan of the eye bolt tie downs. Drill an extra 8 holes now, screw them in when they arrive. When the sides were out I used black tape over the bed hole so you don't see the paint color through the oversized hole in the bed liner.
  10. Pickup Truck Trunk

Well look at that, ecoological makes an aerobox. It's not modular but it's for sale.
  11. New York Four factory Continental ProContact TX 225/65R17 tires, about 1000 miles on them

Someday I'll master the American measuring system... it's only been 51 years! There is 8/32" tread left. Not the 4/32 in the unedited original post
  12. Pickup Truck Trunk

Thank you. Should we start calling these adaptations and changes 'truck remodeling'? I'm game! Some of what people come up with and post here is amazing. Thank you. With tonneau covers and 2x6's already available, I don't know if there's much of a market left. "Stuff leftover in the garage"...
  13. Pickup Truck Trunk

The weight wasn't noticeable at all. I've often wondered it mounting things to the receiver would effect the feel, if not the handling, of the truck.
  14. Pickup Truck Trunk

Sweet. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm thinking of incorporating some magnets
  15. Products for better Aerodynamics (Truck Tails)

Interesting. How about putting the tailgate at half mast and some plywood to make a top
  16. Pickup Truck Trunk

I'm jealous of the side opening tailgate. But of course I want it all, I don't want to give up the middle hook for sheet goods. My CRV had a side opening hatch, sometimes it was helpful, sometimes it was a hindrance.
  17. Pickup Truck Trunk

Ha! I think our town has put down more salt than we've gotten snow this year!
  18. Pickup Truck Trunk

Probably not. It's "good enough/pretty enough" for the job. Parts are painted plywood, so it's not going to melt if it gets wet. It's not usually on the truck, plus I park in the garage. Yep, remove the 2 nuts and take it off. All of 3 minutes. Looking forward to your pictures so I can steal...
