So I banged a 2 x 10 into the tail light and put a small crack in the lens. What have you folks used to prevent it from getting worse and keeping water out?
Thanks
It looks like it mounts with 5 bolts per side. I wonder how strong that would be.... if it's strong enough, it's 'just' a fabricated bracket away from being able to add tow hooks.

If you don't have the side rails already I'm a huge fan of the eye bolt tie downs. Drill an extra 8 holes now, screw them in when they arrive.
When the sides were out I used black tape over the bed hole so you don't see the paint color through the oversized hole in the bed liner.
Thank you. Should we start calling these adaptations and changes 'truck remodeling'? I'm game!
Some of what people come up with and post here is amazing.
Thank you.
With tonneau covers and 2x6's already available, I don't know if there's much of a market left. "Stuff leftover in the garage"...
I'm jealous of the side opening tailgate.
But of course I want it all, I don't want to give up the middle hook for sheet goods.
My CRV had a side opening hatch, sometimes it was helpful, sometimes it was a hindrance.
Probably not. It's "good enough/pretty enough" for the job. Parts are painted plywood, so it's not going to melt if it gets wet. It's not usually on the truck, plus I park in the garage.
Yep, remove the 2 nuts and take it off. All of 3 minutes.
Looking forward to your pictures so I can steal...
