I guess I am not the only one to try this craziness to add a USB hub to the truck. I am mostly trying to get a power distribution but I got this one from Amazon. I dont really care about the High Speed and it was pricey @ $25. I chose it for the 12V input, the port orientation and slim form...
Dealer pre-installed LoJack on mine.
I think the best deterrent would be to commission a magnetic sign with AAA Pest Control.
Maybe not if it has Lariat badging.
I am 100% sure I back-stabbed some solid bell wire into the back of the BCM connector from the passenger footwell and then ran stranded. I had a mix of 22G and 20G 18G and 20G at the time and 22 20 is easier. I then zip tied the tap wire to the individual Ford wire that I tapped and then zip...
Installed mine in about mid-November.
I had to trim about 3/4" (or 7cm, I forget) from the more rear-ward B panel else the edge interfered with the rear fender. Dremel cutter wheel and Dremel grinding to de-burr.
Would have been easier to do if I had already bought the LEDs to help light up...
Do whatever you like but to me, PVC+spray paint makes more sense than MDF with cover. I know auto are more likely ABS than PVC but PVC is a familiar medium to work with...
I installed this version

I did not notice a difference in sound. I had already installed a 10 pack of Amazon Basic in the front door and some closed cell foam on the decorative trim. I did occasionally get a door...
NOT AN EXPERT!!
I am a bit confused about Ambient vs Courtesy while knowing that courtesy is brighter. My truck came with only Courtesy.
Just for fun, I hated the seat-belt mess Ford left us with so I got a 1 year subscription to ForScan to fix it. Because my background is technical writing...
Inspired by this thread I installed more LED strip lights. My 2024 did not come with ambient at all. And the LEDs are too bright so I tied them into the courtesy light. I did footwell earlier and still have many feet of LED strip left. Today I finished with center console cubby and the rear...
It is in the IPC module. You can set a filter near the top left corner of ForScan and it will only show seatbelt stuff. Your choices are 0 for USA and 1 for Europe. I had an unexpected side-effect when I changed mine in that the Trip Screen showed Distance to Empty instead of what it did before...
I just did Amazon Basics on the front door metal.. The fasteners/clips are pretty durable and I did not break anything.
I put a space heater in the cab to get ambient up to about 80^ just to make sure.
The YouTubes from LazyMex2022 and Bumpers and Doors were very helpful.
Roll the windows all...
Your profile says MI which I take to be Michigan.
These components should work fine in Arizona parking lot where it can get up to like 110F in the shade.
Pretty sure this schematic reflects what I did. I drew the schematic after I had completed the install and tested all the connections. Schematic is simplified, reflecting mostly the colors of terminals and not connecting wires.
I tapped the Tow Module to power the relay in the hope that the...
I only have Android and have not seen any integration with the Ford onscreen. Just two apps that show on the phone but too small to be useful in real time.
I found this weatherstrip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVVRMRXX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 on Amazon and it worked well. It was more of a closed loop than what I saw in your pic. I also followed your lead to put it on the leading edge of the rear door.
Trying to be helpful --
I installed a forward camera around the rear view mirror. It came with a harness adapter that tapped into the Lane Keep Assist connector in the upper center console near the mirror. AFAIK, I do not have this feature.
I just reviewed the wiring schematic for the 2022. On...
Just happened to me yesterday. Infotainment was stuck on back-up screen and the radio stayed on while the key was out and the door opened. I googled it and found the soft reset for Sync with Power and Track forward. It actually resolved itself at some point but I did the reset just to be sure.
16 ft^2 closed cell foam was enough to do the underhood (debatable about if this is meaningful on a hybrid) and one front door. I ordered a second panel of 16 ft^2 for the driver door and there was plenty left over to do both rear doors with minimal waste. I did not contemplate foil and rubber...
The tweeter is a little bit crooked. The bottom is more inserted than the top. The logo is closer to 5:30 than 6:00. Random clips just seemed to appear in the footwell while I thought it was captured in the rubber. I will try to pay more attention when I tackle the driver side.
I removed the...
I do not know it by that name but it is the bottom of the A pillar trim that mounts to the door.
The Hertz kit included a mounting post that was tubular and aimed the tweeter more directly as the cab. My "research/prep" included several potential problems that I was not able to fully resolve...
Kind of weird but also classic.
The Hertz tweeter comes with two mounting options. Flush-mount is just a plastic ring with a spring steel toothed ring that wraps around it. Surface mount is a sort of weird short tube with parabolic slices across two sides. Pics are coming. It is supposed to...
