40k for a new Rubicon? That's a crazy good deal. You could drive it to So California and sell it for more. The great thing about Jeeps is that you can buy so many after market parts. I think a Metal Cloak lift with 40" tires is in order.
We did! This is a fairly well maintained park trail but when the bushes get over grown I take the old Ford with AWD (not worried about the paint as much). I am looking forward to getting the new AWD Hybrid Maverick.
The dealers would have loved it if I walked away. The wire hack was upsetting but not a deal breaker on delivery. It's just a deal breaker on future business now that I know they insist on the Karr installation.
I can blame them: this dealer lost any future business from me. A customer should be able to order a vehicle from the manufacturer without unauthorized dealer modifications.
I contacted my local dealer about ordering a new 2025 and asked if my ordered truck would have to get an alarm. Their response was:
"We will need to install the KARR security system because until you purchase the vehicle, it is our responsibilty to prevent theft or break ins"

Thinking about getting the 2025 Hybrid for the AWD and 4k towing. I went on the ford site and put the 50109 zip code in. Grainger was shown in the box but when I hit submit it went to my local dealer. I figured out you have to hit the share button and it gives me a link to send you. :lying:
My dealer did me the favor of Hacking Into My Harness to install a GPS tracker and alarm. I removed that and used the power leads that they installed for my Dash Cam installation
One dealer would not deliver the truck until they installed this. I argued that I did not want it. The other dealer put one in and had no intention of delivering my truck to me. I did not pay for either alarm. Pictures in my thread
No hiking but drove a long route. East on I-8 to Ocotillo, North on S2 for 50 miles of empty and surprisingly green desert, right at scissors crossing (east 78) and left at Tamarisk Grove (North S3) to pop over the hill into Borrego. On the way out we took Montezuma Grade and hit the trail at...
