Well I HOPE your wrong. People can get pissed off by a manufacturer and never go back. Will see how this pans out come mid summer. I see some things changing. I get my info from Youtube Caredge Zack and Ray and Kevin the homework guy.
I am only talking about Ecoboost orders. You think that Ford would rather send lot vehicles to dealers than already placed orders? If true that is insanity. Ford must have assigned the amount of sold vehicles with allocations. So 35K ecoboost ordered 35K allocations sent out. Now could it be...
Your statement makes no sense. They will build at least until October 2023. So that is another 6 months . They seem to build at about 8 K a month so that is another 48K trucks. There is NO way they sent out notifications and VIN numbers to 48 thousand people. NO WAY.
Should you order a 2024...
Really Buffalo NY area. Dealer near me which I consider a rip off dealer as far as mavericks go had several BS under msrp by about 1400 off. They sent me a flyer in the mail with prices. Same dealer was asking way over msrp for a EB maverick,. Guess it depends on location.
What is the math behind all of this? I will take a shot but I dont know of my numbers are even close to correct. I thought Ford built about 100K Mavs in 2022. Assume the same for 2023. So I think 35K EB ordr and 75K hybrid BUT a 35 to hybrid and 65 percent to EB. So 65K EB and 35K Hybrids. Now...
Which if correct what the dealer told you Ford NEW way ahead of time how many orders the dealer should have been allowed to place. NOT one above that amount. Then a customer could be told that and the customer could look elsewhere. No duplicate ordering needed. .NO I wonder if my truck gets...
All I am saying related to your question is don't be a sucker like me last order time and only order ONE. Order two or more. Since your locked into a no refund deposit it makes it much harder. Like others have said no refund no way for me. I want it in writing too for refund. . Plus use credit...
Allocations are the cause of people at least now knowing about them and placing at least 2 orders minimum for one wanted truck. All fords doing.
I think the 2024 hybrid orders will be full again in a few days. One people will order duplicate orders on account of unknown allocations.. Two at...
Just to throw another vehicle into the mix my 2020 Ecosport 2.0 4 cyl. AWD SE about 25 mpg average. Highway on road trip did 29.4 all highway at 67 mph most of the way. So looks like about the same. it only has 6 speed trans so if I had an 8 speed I bet it might be up with Mav on highway.
Just one note . An EV maverick price would be well over 30K starting price for an XL. Battery prices have gone up not down. Plus in short supply with demand so higher prices expected for the near future. So forget plug in or full EV but if they do expect BIG $$$. .
Why do they keep changing...
I still can't believe the Mav does not make money. Maybe a stripped XL hybrid but no way on a 30K plus Mav. The options make huge money. I see many here load them up with all sorts of options. Now modifying another plant to build and meet demand is doubtful. I think Ford is willing to lose out...
