Learned to drive in Grandpa's old 1969 Ford pick up, we bought after he died. Used as work truck, when he worked for Denver Public School district as a janitor.
1978 Ford Fairmont - Needed rings and cat. Installed new heater core just before winter set in!
1984 Toyota 4x4 - Needed major front...
Almost directly back from entrance, with the BMRC - Majestic and Western N Scale modular layout.
Was there most of the time. Did wander a bit, to see what was there, or grab a bite to eat.
Just took mine on its first decent trip(s) this weekend.
Drove from Longmont to Estes PArk yesterday and today. Train show in Estes.
Des[ite the long, steep grades to and from, a total of 8 trips each way, on track
to hit over 650 miles. 31 miles total, 14.1 miles electric. Did very well in the...
Had mine since April 22. Other than potential engine compartment fire recall work, I've had absolutely NO issues with mine. Have not noticed anything unusual. Approaching 2050 miles.
Love my truck!
Update:
Sent another message to Ford Credit, plus my letter and backing information to the CO Springs address on intial letter. Got the following today:
Good Morning,
We apologize for any confusion about scheduling payments, and for the pre-generated statement that was automatically mailed...
Anyone else having issues with Ford Credit??
Asking, because I got a letter today, stating last months payment was
NOT recieved, and they were adding an extra $15 onto it.
Well, I checked bank transactions to June.
Shows payments made every month, ahead of scheduled due date!!
Even have online...
Turned 2000.1 miles, just as I turned to line up for backing into the garage
after dialysis this afternoon. No issues other than the recall for potential engine bay fire.
Looking for a set, front and rear. Big thing is, what's compatible with heated seats??
Have a local place that makes them, or at least can recover current seats. Asked about
redoing seats in Ranger a while back.
Have a Nathan K3LA horn, 8 outlet, 10 gallon tank and compressor to mount.
Whether it be on the Ranger, or on a bed platform in the Maverick. Have had
mine for a while, just haven't gotten around to locating a mounting point, on either vehicle!
Looks good!!
Drove next to a Santa Cruz, well before the Maverick showed up.
Saw one Maverick in town, aside from mine. A few fairly short out
of town trips resulted in nothing!
And only 5 folks asking about it. First in the parking lot at Harbor Freight
when I stopped to get a hitch, ball and locking...
Other than getting Email staing mine had shipped, I recieved nothiong. Couldn't get rail info, when I asked. Only got an updated delivery date, a week later than original, when I stopped in to inquire.
Showed up the next day. Picked up 2 days later.
Ordered mudflaps through my dealer. They asked
if I wanted to pay by cash, card or points.
Took longer to find them on a Saturday, than it did top place my order!!
All they did then, was double check that I used points on them.
And still earned points as well.
Roughly a 150# N Scale model railroad. Shortly after I purchassed the truck.
Fellow club member purchased it, but didn't have a vehicle large enough to
carry it. Hung over tailgate slightly. And leaned over the side by about 6-8 inches.
Still saw 38-43MPG, with load, and a heavy side wind...
Ouch!! Recall, many, many years ago, finishing a tour of Coors, when it sounded like kids throwing rocks at car. Was actually baseball size hail stones!!
July 28, Estes Park, CO.
