I've had that happen a couple of times on my '23 XLT. The screen became pixelated and the music I was streaming became distorted. I did a soft reset (Pwr and FF button like what @matmondro suggested) and it seemed to fix the issue.

I dunno, I think I'd rather get a CEL and have some modicum of an idea of what it could be rather than have weird stuff happen (dash was dead, transmission stuck in park, random weirdness with the ACM; all fixed by a restart) or strange noises/vibrations randomly popup then disappear.

It is easier to remove all the plastic trim but it is doable without removing everything. Just be prepared to get your hands all scraped up.

I had a Bedrug in my previous truck, a 2015 Ram 1500 shortbed. That coupled with a hard tonneau cover made it like a huge covered trunk. I have the Ford drop in bedliner but I am seriously considering pulling that out and installing a Bedrug. Bedrugs are awesome.

From what I can tell, the rubber trim is part of the lower steering column shroud. Part number for the lower shroud is LJ6Z-3530-AB
