Yep, I'm on the NM side of the TX/NM border. 86 is all I run in my hybrid. Midgrade is $.50 more per gallon and premium is almost a dollar.
Runs just fine on 86.
FordPass exists to notify you that FordPass has drained your battery and that the remote features of Fordpass have been disabled so you can no longer use FordPass.
The last 5 trucks I've owned had either a factory installed hitch or an aftermarket one.
Every single one had slop between the ball mount and receiver. I just buy a cheap anti-rattle device like @ThisWas posted. Works great (y)
Thanks for the pictures! Is yours aluminum or steel? I see both on Aliexpress.
I think this is style you have?
AliExpress Maverick Topper
I like how the front of the topper is angled to fit closer to the rear window.
After a quick web search, I found a company that manufactures tailgate support bars. I know they don't fold up when closing the tailgate but maybe you could fab up something similar?

I just floor the accelerator while the truck is in park. It will kick on the engine and rev it to about 2500 RPMs or so. I do this after changing the oil to check for leaks (y)
Yes, the interior plastics are very soft. The trim in the door openings is especially susceptible to scratching. My lower door panels are also scuffed up.
I don't have any scratches on my dash from what I can tell but the dash gets extremely sticky in hot temps and sun. I have a bunch of dust...
This is a great design. I have one of the "two level" center console organizers and I don't like how shallow the top part is. It's also difficult to separate the two halves if I need to get something out of the bottom.
Mine only seems to do it when it's cold outside. I'll start it up and wait for the idle to drop before I drive it but it still lurches. It seems to go away after the engine gets to operating temperature.
Or if it's like mine, it will happily reset itself randomly at the most inopportune times. Like while using maps on Android Auto while navigating on a road trip. It's super helpful :curse:
A few weeks ago, we had a major snow event here in eastern NM. Lots of snow, high winds and icy conditions. Normally, everything closes when we get this much snow but I still had to go to work. The roads were snow packed and icy. I have about 22k on the stock Continentals. They aren't great by...
It's too bad someone doesn't develop a storage compartment with a lid that fits in the dash cubby. Something like this cubby for the JK Wrangler but with a latching lid:
I guess my pet peeve would be the extremely cheap interior materials. I have 22k miles on my 23 XLT hybrid and it has a myriad of interior rattles. The dash, speaker covers, dash end caps, front passenger door card and the sunglasses holder all rattle. I had a 2010 Kia Forte Koup that had 160k...
Either my 2023 hybrid isn't included in this recall or it hasn't been loaded to the Ford recall page yet:
I've already replaced the battery with a Diehard Gold in June 2024. I got tired of the seemingly random battery saver events and dead battery. I wasn't going to wait for Ford to keep the...
