I guess you don't understand how it works... I don't care what they said. I understand how an eCVT works. It gets the engine to peak rpm and holds it there.
It's not the eCVT it's the engine making the noise since it's running at a higher rpm. Listen to almost any vehicle making that run they do and it's screaming. It's a tough climb.
That tow test was an extreme test. 11,000 feet elevation (down 33% on power), extreme cold, winter gas, up 7% grade and over the max tow limit. It did it and was passing the big rigs. 99% of people would not see those conditions.
That's the secret 2028 Maverick hybrid they are testing that can tow 6,000lbs :D.
You can almost guarantee the redesigned Maverick will be able to tow 5,000lbs with a 500lb tongue weight limit to match the Hyundai Santa Cruz.
I ended up getting the trade in price I wanted for my 22 so I'm getting it. I have x plan so it helps a little. 34k for my 25 XLT. Though it's at the top end I would want to pay for a Maverick. Like everyone says all the trims basically have the same cheap interior.
Yeah I'm taking it. Picking it up on Monday! I will need a vehicle that can tow 3,000lbs if we decide to get a Travel Trailer. Any used mid size would be around the price of the Maverick and get half the gas milage. I did sit in a 25 Ranger yesterday and the interior is actually tighter than the...
Update....
As suggested I checked Carvana and CarMax today. Both would give me 24k on my 22. I sent the pictures to the sales manager and said match that and we got a deal.
They are giving me 22,700 for my 22. I would lose out on the trade in tax credit if I went with Carvana or CarMax so in...
I’m basically in the same boat. My 25 just came in. I ordered it because of the AWD hybrid with tow package. I went to test drive it today. I just didn’t get that same excitement I had with my 22. Maybe because the 22 was such an amazing deal. Some parts of the 25 seemed cheaper like the white...
It really doesn't make much sense the more I think of it. Only concern is not being able to tow a Travel Trailer with my current one. I would assume my 22 will hold it's value for a while.
I work from home. I drop the kids off at school in the morning, go to the store on the weekends and when I...
Just went and test drove my 25. As a bunch of you know by my other thread, it came in with a chip in the paint. They repainted the drivers side rear panel. It looks good except for a small dent in the fuel door (they said they would fix it). Driving it seemed very similar to my 22 (as it...
I didn't buy it yet.. Not sure I am. Sales manager said he would give me 20k for my current XLT that only has 6,300 miles on it. I was expecting closer to 25k. He says he's sitting on a lot of XL and XLTs he can't sell because of the rear camera issue. Payment would be $460 a month for the new...
Just got back from the dealership. They repainted the rear driver's side panel. They did a good job except for a small dent in the fuel door (they said they would fix it).
There sister Ford dealership is the one that did the repaint. Just kind of sucks that I paid extra (well not yet) for the Ruby Red paint. Though I'm sure it's common for new vehicles coming off the shipping truck to get chips.
Update... It was damage causing the delay.... Sales Manger just called me. He said when they did the delivery inspection they noticed a deep chip in the paint. They needed to have that part repainted being that it's a new vehicle. He is going to find out where the chip was exactly and let me...
