The hybrid is not slow. It will do 0-60 around 7 seconds. There have been a few that have gotten even under 7 seconds. Thats v8 full size truck times, Also it seems quicker because it has instant power.
Swiss army knife would be one of the hybrid versions. You lose payload, gas milage and cut your towing capability in half with the Tremor. If you are specifically just looking for an off roader then the Tremor would be ok.
Last week at a stop light I was next to a Tremor. I talked to the guy until the light turned green and he said he wanted to trade his Tremor in for an AWD Hybrid. The AWD hybrid with good tires will do a decent job of what most people use the truck for.
You shouldn't have an problem. Looks like Hitch Weight is 278 lb. and UVW is 2,705 lb. There have been a few videos of the Maverick maxed out over 4,000lbs with 500lbs of hitch weight and it did it with not much of an issue. As long as you stay under the 4,000/400 you will be good.
I'm looking...
There's a lot! They are on track for a total of around 170,000 for this year alone. I think that would move the Maverick into first place for best selling midsize or under truck. I was at Petco the other day and when I came out 2 Mavericks were right next to me!
They are also a mile up in elevation. So that will also make a difference. It's impressive that they didn't have an issue towing over the max limit a mile up in elevation.
Get the Carmax and Carvana offer then see what your dealership will offer. If the dealership is lower show them you have other offers and to match it. That's what I did and my dealership matched Carmax.
Interesting you say that as the 25 Maverick hybrid (at least with one of the YouTube video reviews) came out slightly faster than the EcoBoost version.
The voice controls are great on the 25s. I push the talk button once on the steering wheel and say temperature 68 and it changes it to 68. No taking eyes off the road for anything.
