Ordered on Wednesday in person at dealership. I have yet to receive an email confirmation from Ford. How long should I wait before raising the issue with the dealership?

I imagine my order has technically not been submitted by the dealer because I have yet to receive the email confirmation from Ford.

I visited my dealer in person yesterday and submitted a pre-order. You are definitely able to submit orders now, unfortunately, it looks like some dealerships around the country are misinformed and/or uninformed.

Does any one actually use the break hold? When do you use it?

At the end of the day, the deposit goes to the vehicle as a down payment, right? I completely understand why one would not want to pay anything that is not required, but I see my $1,000 deposit essentially as an early down payment.

Just left dealer and completed my order for a White XLT 2.5 Hybrid, XLT luxury package, Co-Pilot 360, and manual rear sliding window. MSRP: $26,950 With Georgia taxes and fees total balance is $30,468.90. Deposit was $1,000.

I had the same thing happen. Sales person said my reservation was for a transit connect. Its all worked out now though.

I went ahead and made a reservation at the two nearest dealerships to me. One called me back, but the nice lady on the phone did not seem to familiar with the Maverick or the next steps in terms of pre-order. I think I will just see which dealer has better communications over the next few weeks.

I am very uninformed when it comes to hybrids. Why should I not get a hybrid? In other words, why is a hybrid not worth the extra expense? My daily commute is 40 miles roundtrip.
