The Owner's Manual provides under glove box fuse box slots available for use, same for under hood fuse box. Select one that fits the amperage requirement and you should be all set. Ford kind of anticipated this is what I figured after reviewing all the power options via fuse box.

Found this in the Owner's Manual Pg 383 Resetting the System 1. Simultaneously press and hold the seek up and the audio unit power buttons until the screen goes black. 2. Wait three minutes to allow the system to complete the reset.

I too was looking for additional cubby space. No such luck, but not a bad idea. Saw on another thread where someone removed the bed light and outlet for the cubby, installed strip bed lighting above the rails all around, but I did not see where he repositioned the outlet.
