Well I went ahead and installed a touch screen. I was going though my junk closet and came across a spare screen for my previous Nissan Frontier. I cut it down to fit and it looks and work perfect. No change in how the touch screen works.
Look up the wiring diagram for the camera and you will find it on a dedicated circuit. There is a reason that modules have there own power and ground sources and don't have accessories on the same circuits. When there is a perfectly safe connection at the map lights why wouldn't you use it...
If your mirror has a failure and blows the fuse then the camera will stop functioning. The camera is used for lane keep assist and automatic braking. If you have a problem with the camera warranty will not cover it if some other accessories is attached to the same circuit. The map light...
Well that explains why the PayPal didn't go through.
The cheapest place I found for the A9062-ADUP0 mirror was https://www.kia.parts/
Came to $45 which included shipping.
I clicked on your link and it comes up discontinued. I looked hard for the $25 mirror and couldn't find one. I ended up buying from https://www.kia.parts/ for $45 shipped.
I agree that there are two ways to connect the mirror. My point that I was trying to make is that it's just a better option and just as easy to wire to the map lights. The camera is a sensitive and expensive safety device and owner's really shouldn't be tapping into it to power other devices...
Why are some choosing to use the camera harness to power up there mirrors when there is a perfect source for ground, constant power and acc power at the map light connector? Personally I wouldn't mess with a safety item like the camera. I wired both my dash cam and mirror to the map lights...
Exactly, even in snow country you don't need AWD, just a good set of winter tires. My wife dove a Camry for 9 years and never had one issue in the winter and I don't expect any problems with my '24 Hybrid.
Reviving an old thread. My aftermarket headunit in my Tundra does not have a screen protector because the manufacturer said it can overheat the display and cause damage. Could this be an issue on the Maverick if I decide to use one?
I went to the https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Home/SetCountry?returnUrl=%2FAsBuilt and downloaded my stock configuration. The download wants a specific folder on the C drive in programs. I had to create a folder. I'm assuming forscan will find the file to load the stock configuration?
