If you only have a single fob you won’t be able to program a second key fob. You’re going to have to go to the dealer and have them program a new key.
I'm not sure why you're having a problem with cutting the key. I live in a small town and we have one locksmith. He was able to cut the key, no issues. He asked me for the key tag number that comes with the key and used that to program and cut the key. The Maverick key is nothing special...
2024 XLT with about 3,000 miles and just finished the transmission fluid replacement. I checked the level before I started and it was level to the fill plug. I drained the oil into a clean white container to inspect and there was absolutely no metal particles. The fluid was a nice red color...
30ft/lbs? That seem very high for a plug in an aluminum case.
I think we are over thinking it. No one torque an engine oil drain plug which is also in an aluminum case. Just snug it up.
I'm wanting to install switchbacks on my Maverick. I've already made the changes in Forscan so just the DRLs are on. How did you enable just the white DRLs without having the running lights on all the time? Doesn't the white part of the switchback bulb use the running light circuit?
That's the confusing part. Maverick owners who have done the service report adding significantly more fluid then they took out. Maybe the exact level is not that critical?
Follow up question. Has anyone used a different ULV ATF other than the Ford brand? I was thinking of using Valvoline ULV fluid which is about half the price. Since Ford doesn't make the transmission fluid does anyone know who the manufacture is?
