It's not just brightness of the gauges, the notice also says telltales may fail to illuminate. That could be a Check Engine light, for example. This might be a good one to have done.
The vast majority of connections on a commercial aircraft are crimped. When there are solder connections they are typically the type that comes inside the heatshrink already (solder sleeve). Very, very few items are hand soldered.
On my personal electrical projects, I have switched. I used to...
Has anyone looked into this setup to see if the DD setup just uses a big relay? I would like to do the same DD with factory switch but prefer to eliminate as much potential failure as possible and go from the BCM direct to the lights if it would work.
Wow - I think that looks great! Usually I think swapping from other vehicles ends up with funny sized wheels and tires that look out of proportion, but this works!
What size tires? And rubbing issues? How does it drive?
Never claimed that the wheel is marketed to Maverick and I am not doubting your ability to measure. But for a company that shares as many parts as possible between trim levels, models, platforms, etc., does it really make sense that they would produce two of the exact same wheel with different...
Thanks for coming back and updating. I'm not saying you are wrong, because companies sometimes do crazy things, but I would think that a difference of 0.07" might just be a manufacturing tolerance, or difference in paint - assuming the same tool and same person measured both wheels so they are...
If you bought bulbs from Bob's Brighter Bulbs and they were advertised as fitting a 3157 socket, that would be one thing. But you (and I), bought from a company that advertised them FOR Maverick with no errors or hyper flashing. I bought them for my 24 Maverick, but when I put them in I know...
Meaning you have the original Lasfit bulbs that are not working as advertised? And they offered a discount on buying new ones? Sounds like a warranty issue to me. When I get my truck I expect I'll see the same thing (already have bulbs), and I expect them to make it right.
I was thinking along the same lines. Also wondering if ALL of the rear detections need to be disabled or maybe just the "bulb" ones, leaving the LED enabled...maybe letting the system continue to work?
I think it may be possible to do it even cleaner. I understand the BCM acts as a relay/current protection, so as long as these don't draw more than the typical OEM fogs, I believe you could eliminate almost all of the DD wiring. Basically you would end up with the connectors to the lights...
I'm with you, that is what I would like to do. This looks like a great kit and very OEM looking, except for the switching. I want the full OEM look and feel.
There is another thread on here where a member used, I believe, an F150 switch that fit right into the dash, added a couple wires from...
No disputing McGard makes a good lug nut. But only the bulge cone is correct for OEM wheels vs. the standard cone. Unfortunately McGard only makes them in black with a 22mm hex, vs. the 21mm OEM size. So you would need to carry an extra lug wrench if you ever planned to change a flat.
