Ok everyone I appreciate the replies and the pics as well. I opted for the ceramic Pinnacle tint at 50% and I am very happy with my choice. I can see very well through the windows and they block half the heat and 99% UV which is a no brainer. Of course they look lighter or darker depending on...
Yes I believe now that I have mine popped back in the correct position that their purpose is to keep the sides of the bed liner tight against the bed. Thanks again for the pics and the info!
Thanks folks. I remember having to remove them a couple of times during installation for various reasons....and I was focusing on getting those behind the rails. They dont budge now....rubber mallet love taps dont pop them back in place. I guess I will remove and reinstall. Bummer.....but thanks
Maybe but the front ones ride under the rails. Maybe if we have other folks that have the drop in liner......can u check to see if these bump outs are wedged in or riding behind your top rail please?
They are just bubbles of sorts. I thought it might give someone access to install a ladder rack on all 4 corners. Initially I was able to get them to ride on the inside of the top rail but the rear ones have worked themselves back out and are wedged in there pretty good. As another poster...

I think a lot of folks are taking my light hearted post a little too serious. I am almost 60 years old....I am old school......I just sold a truck that was a 2001 that didnt have anything that would beep at any time.........yes I do know how to use mirrors and windows............just some light...
So I tapped the holes with no issue. I went ahead and temporarily installed the beefy tie downs so I could complete this thread. The reason it is just a temp install is that I need to razor knife some of the bed liner away so the tie downs will sit flush and I also need some stainless steel...
I will reply to you yet again because now I feel a little stupid. In my defense I had already covered the holes on the floor with the protective tape in the bed liner kit......the bed liner was also installed and a bed mat. So its not like I was looking at a bare hole. That said the use of a...
Here is a quote from the YouTube vid I watched I believe he is called TDTVGarage
The holes are already there for the factory tie downs, just are not threaded. Because the holes are over the inside of the frame rail there is no concern for interference with other components, thus the length of...
