Same boat. I didn't change my Lariat order and am hoping for some good news in the next few weeks, but I've been nursing my mega-mile Outback and it looks like a major engine repair is now necessary. Aggravated to say the least.....
Where are you located? In Texas our home and car insurances rates went up 50% due to losses from hurricanes and freezes. Itās ridiculous For those of us without claims in a long timeā¦
The Stout, if it happens, will be here no earlier than 2025. I'm sure it will have the usual Toyota build quality and reliability. And the usual Toyota price premium.
Meanwhile, the Maverick is somewhat available now if you're willing to open your wallet, or will be available in greater numbers...
Exactly my sentiments. Perhaps at the time they thought they would get control over the supply/production issues and yet may still be able to do that for the remaining orders. But unless some precedent has been set that Iām not aware of, I really donāt see Ford just abandoning orders the dealers...
Not sure where you're located, but there's quite a few Outbacks on the ground in my area (Houston). My 2013 is hitting the 200k milestone next week. Woooo! My ordered Mav is its replacement....

The Isuzu Rodeo begat the Gen 1 Passport. The Trooper begat the Acura SLX. After a deer strike I put an SLX grille on my rebuilt Trooper and it sure messes with peopleās heads.
My wife and I bought a new 1998 S70. It was a little tank - solid, hugely comfortable, not greatly powerful but certainly able to get 'life' done. I loved that thing. Around 60k miles (4 years) things started to go horribly wrong with it; electrical, mechanical, you name it. By the time we threw...
Greetings all. Like many of you Iām exasperated about the strong possibility my ordered ā23 Maverick Lariat hybrid wonāt get built. But with my current ride heading into the 9th inning, I have to be realistic. My Plan B is a Honda CRV Sport Touring or a Mazda CX-5. Whatās yours?
