Jesus christ, my father's Hybrid was built 5/17 and is in transit. Its been 1.5 years already waiting for it and now Q4 would mean its going to get close to 2 years.
Looking at getting an adjustable bed rack option like the Elevate CS or the Yakima Overhaul HD. Are there any others out there that you guys recommend taking a look at? I want one that is well-built and easy to take on and off when I don't need it. Using it for the roof boxes and maybe a kayak...
I went with the Truxedo Sentry CT hard roll up with the elevate rails. I can remove the slats and have a totally open bed or roll it up and still use a tailgate pad. Won't be as secure but I will have to live with that I guess. I did actually like the gator cover except the water leaking and...
I remember reading the instructions and it said the bracket cleats would possibly be like that. I torqued my brackets to spec and none of them sit flush. I ended up giving up on retractable bed covers because I took a long road trip and realized I need all the space in bed for bikes and camping...
How are you guys checking if yours is recalled? I hope its the 4k only so I dont have to bring it in. If its 4k only then this would be the only time I am going to be happy about my dealer screwing up my transition order from 22 to 23 and leaving out 4k.
ACC wasnt available for any trim other than Lariat so far on the Maverick. 23 its an extra option outside of CP360 called CP Assist. 22 you need lariat lux and CP360.
I took it apart to ship it back so I took better pictures.
Here is what the install videos show for the Gator MT (left) and Roll N Lock (right):
You can see there is extra weather strip that goes under that part. Mine only had foam underneth the metal and is missing that strip completely.
It’s leaking into the bed from the front of the canister where it meets the back window. There is supposed to be a long weather strip there that goes across the whole width of the canister if you look at install videos. I do not have that at all so basically it’s just metal on metal that’s bent...
Ok UPDATE: Realtruck gave me very confusing and conflicting information. On the phone when I originally called them they told me they would send a shipping label and send me out a new unit when they got confirmation the old one was shipped back. Now on another email they are stating I need to...
First off I want to state that I ordered the Gator MT from Realtruck and they have been great with customer service so far. With that being said, my cover came slightly damaged. The email they sent to me even states to contact Roll N Lock for warranty claims.
Install: Since my cover came...
We could retire now if we wanted to. But my wife will probably work for at least 20 more years so I don’t want to retire yet.
I was saving and investing more than half of my income and paid for my wife’s medical school. I am in a different part of life now and my wife and I make more than...
So I installed it today. Took a bit longer than I thought because it arrived slightly damaged. The canister and cover were dented in some places and the flange that you have to align the tracks to well one of them was bent quite a bit. This made it a bit more time consuming to square and center...
I've been using it religously on the highway. Compares well to the Hyundai system I have in the palisade but not as good as Telsa's in the wifes Model X. But more than useable.
Can you use the Rear camera if you are just carrying one bike on the sides?
I bought the new Yakima Gatekeeper and the camera hole is too small and the strap lines up with the camera anyways. Looking at different options now.
