  1. Steering Wheel Cover

Wow, that is well done - looks great! I threw on a $9 cover from amazon, and I definitely am not thrilled about the feeling of a slip on cover. When I get motivated, I hope to stitch one half as good as this. 2 hours is quick for the outcome I think - nice!
  2. Who has an Amazon tri-fold hard bed cover

Sorry I took some pics before we went camping last weekend and didn't have time to post them. Also forgot to put a tape on it, but I think these can help. (I haven't bought or installed the TS rails yet - haven't had the need and might pick them up if there's a good holiday sale)
  3. How to add GPS to my XL

Try an app called Magic Earth. You can download maps for offline use. We used it for GPS in an overseas rental car and loved it. Just got Android Auto integration recently. Also contains hiking trails (obscure ones too!) So it's great at various national parks etc. Google maps is our goto...

  5. Another Lug Nut post, with a twist

FYI the XL open lug nuts are 13/16 or 21mm also works. Wasn't sure if that's the same socket size as the XLT/Lariat.
  6. Hemet Gosch has five on the lot

That's what I was insinuating. Gotta pay extra for lube.
  7. Rear USB port for XL Hybrid - DIY installation photos

or for lazy people - $2.99
  8. Hemet Gosch has five on the lot

They obviously are referring to a condom.
  9. I love baby truck! Ceramic coating done

Might rub off the $$$ coating? Online forums will look down on you? I love the the outcome OP got and do like to take care of expensive things I own - but without a carport or garage anymore, meh, not worth it. I just plan on minimal washing (like a few times a year) and keeping the windows...
  10. Hemet Gosch has five on the lot

Please, whoever talks to this dealership, say: "I was interested in your Maverick, but said 'Gosch, no thanks' when I saw the added fees." and then when they don't go down to MSRP after your awesome joke, you can say something a bit harsher :D
  11. Gas consumption question

Just make sure to play with it offroad to make use of the Tremor package and enjoy the extra fuel consumption!
  12. Gas consumption question

Tremor is rated 20/24 MPG for city/hwy https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/46368.shtml that's 11.76 - 9.8L/100km If you were hoping for 8.1, you messed up buying a Tremor!
  13. Who has an Amazon tri-fold hard bed cover

I can close the tailgate before or after the tonneau and it seems like either way works fine. We don't get much rain here, so it'll be a while to see if one way vs the other seals better. The manual states to close cover first, tailgate last https://s3.amazonaws.com/roughcountry/install/Rough...
  14. More bluetooth woes

I like the physical connection of a plug. Not sure why everyone wants to go wireless and bluetooth - take the 5 seconds to plug in your phone and have a solid connection. Yeah, you gotta take your phone outta your pocket, but I also have to turn a key to "start" my XL hybrid :D
  15. how to jack truck to put it on jack stands.

I'm too cheap for that. I got a Powerbuilt U-jack, although, it appears to have gone up quite a bit in price. Pretty sure I paid less than $100 when I bought it a few years back. Watch out for Black Friday deals? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pwb-620516 Works well and recommended, but not...
  16. Who has an Amazon tri-fold hard bed cover

I wanted one that could work with Elevate TS rails, so I went with the Rough Country hard tri-fold. $639 - $25 + tax at ReconRecovery (sign up for email for coupon) ReconRecovery for a bit more than the Amazon/ebay ones, but less than the Bak/etc, I think its a good price point option (also...
  17. Hybrid Power!

What a weird instinct. "He go fast; I go fastaaar!!!"
  18. Id rather have a PHEV Maverick

I feel the same regarding tax deductions for charity/religious/etc. That's widespread tax payer contributions to organizations that individual tax payers may not wish to support.
  19. Id rather have a PHEV Maverick

That was my point exactly. People like to think that fossil fuels aren't subsidized.
