  1. Let's Talk Fender Flares

We put on the Mabett flares on our Mav and they look good along with the rest of the matte black trim. We also were able to put on some "other" aftermarket f/r mud flaps (amazon) that fit pretty good with the Mabett flares and were fairly inexpensive (see link below if interested)...
  2. Plug in CD player ?

Uploaded all my LPs (45s&33s) and CDs to my PC media server (by album) connected to my router. Then copied the entire collection to my cell phone music file. Now when I need to listen on any vehicle, I can use my BT phone connection to any vehicle and WALLA! Got my whole music collection...
  3. Does this mean the dealer installed a tracking device on my truck.

Our maverick came with a sticker claiming that our Mav was secured by small clear dots. Not sure how it worked, but imagine it had something to do with stolen parts identification.
  4. How do you like your Maverick builds? 🚙

Protection from other numbnuts drives my customizations. Too many folks just dont give a sh!t about new vehicle any more than they do their own. Once stationed at Ft Campbell, had another soldier in a new Camaro pull in next to my new GT 5.0, open his door and smacked my door. Got out of my...
  5. 87 Octane is it needed everywhere

From Web: "Yes, it is generally safe to burn 85 octane at high elevations (above 4,000–5,000 feet) in naturally aspirated engines that recommend 87. Because the thinner air reduces cylinder pressure, the likelihood of engine knocking drops significantly. However, you may experience a slight...
  6. Hello from Lake of the Ozarks.

Where abouts around the lake do live. Just moved from 41mm area a couple of years ago after owning/living on the lake for over 30 yrs. Wife and I got tired of the increased traffic both on land and water all year round..... not to mention the squirly lake roads with tons of deer "hit"...
  7. Curious to see what the herd thinks of this roll bar

I dont like it, but I would keep the roll bar. 🤣 Pun intended.....
  8. Fender Flares and Lettering installed

Mine neither..... but, neither are inconciderate buttheads that ram their doors into my fenders.
  9. Fender Flares and Lettering installed

My Mav is the same color. Put on the flares, flaps, black matte hood protector and letters, 1" ruby red bodyside molding, and folding bed cover. All mostly for protection from inconciderates, road debri, and lockable bed storage. The letters are for looks only - IMO. The flaps I found on...
  10. Ford CEO Jim Farley’s Right To Repair Comment

I totally agree with the OP. I havent trusted dealership service departments for the past 30 yrs. Hidden fees, over priced services, poor hiring practices, profit over quality (in some cases), inability to retaining quality technicians, and poor quality controls (again by some not neccesarilly...
  11. $22 for a 10 or 12 oz can of something Ford wanted me to use.

Or during your next prostate exam at your Doctors office...... 🫨
  12. Washer nozzle info, Save Money

We do the distilled water over the rain water....
  13. Washer nozzle info, Save Money

Here in MO for the last few years, I've made my own and it works pretty good both summer/winter and doesnt freeze to -15 (tested): 1gal empty winshield jug 1oz Dawn dish soap 6oz 70% rubbing alcohol Fill with water
  14. Ford A Plan for all

Would think current dealer hunger for sales and local market interest will drive their bottom dollar. Just like the OP, dealers can always continue fishing for the better catch..... like someone aleady posted, its just business.
  15. Maverick rear bumper (no step)

Funny.... my OEM Ford F250 Crew Cab 4X4 has steps on the ends of the bumper....
  16. Tailgate Ladder experience?

I use a wider version of one of those on my F250 front frame mount 2" hitch so I can crawl up into the engine compartment for any maintenance. It comes in real handy for reaching anywhere under the hood of a lifted vehicle. As for the Maverick, I like the extended version for the Maverick 2"...
  17. Right front collision damage

Not these days..... hit a deer in 2018 with my '13 F150 SCREW that did similar (with no frame) damage... ended up on the other side of $10k. Kinda suprised its only $10k on a newer Maverick....
  18. Sunroofs

Seems like Ive read about some leak issues with Mav sunroofs..... but also some rear sliders, windshields, and AC box leaks too. Our 2026 Mav Lariat AWD Hybrid (dealer ordered car we bought while in transit from factory) has the rear slider.... wish it would not have it, dont use it anyways.
  19. Tire plugs - Anyone tried those new rubber/plastic screw types?

Although these screw in plugs look interesting..... I too will stick with the old rope plugs. Like vulcanizing rock cut repairs on my off road low pressure trail tires, rope plugs have saved me plenty on new tires and have always provided cheap fast reliable fixes.
  20. Question on Ford Aeroskin hood protector

We have the Aeroskin Matte version on our F250 and Maverick. Both have held up well. We also wipe down all outer matte surfaces with Chemical Guys Matte Detail Spray Sealant occasionally to help with UV protection and cleaning.
