Not talking about thiefs..... if they want anything... they figure out how to get it. Its the neighborhood knuckleheads (kids) who got nothing better to do.... every city I have lived in (30yr military post migration - both on and off post and overseas) has had them. 😉
Point being? The chips are in Tiawan, lord knows where: steel comes from, tires, brake parts, individual engine parts, plastics, electronics, ..... not sure anything electronically or even mechanically manufactured are 100% USA made. Main idea here..... its sold primarily in the USA and by...
Wanted a US made Hybrid AWD that could cover/secure hauled items in the bed, good traction in winter, provide 4 doors, still get great mileage, and finally.... be easy for my wife (and me too😉) to get in/out and drive/park around town easily.
..... now if it just holds up as a Ford product!
IMO..... Yes! We have used Covercraft winshield products on all of our cars and they are quality made, last a very long time, and most importantly block alot of the heat and UV from from the sun on the dash/steering wheel/seats. Have even used some (same original one ) on multiple cars over 13...
For years, and maybe still going on today, Johnson County KS (especially Overland Park, Olathe, Shawnee Mission) new auto dealers have been dealing with hail damage on their new car lots. It so bad that they actually have mobile dent removal services that basically travel from dealer to dealer...
In our new '26 Lariat, BT cell calls are good using our Samsung phones. The only issue we experienced has nothing to do with sound quality, but, connection quality.
Several times when traveling with both our Mav and '23 Superduty within approx. 100' of each other, our phones (which are...
Totally agree! Dont need any more distractions fiddling around trying to turn on a function.
Also hate Kiosk order machines at resturaunts too. IMO, complicates and slows down the whole process. However, do like self checkouts and (some well designed) App ordering - they actually can help...
+1. Dont like to use any wood either. Also saw them spit over time as well. Use a hard rubber round jack head pinch weld puck. It sits flat inside of my 3ton rolling floor jack head and any pinch weld safely.
Also only use one jack stand per wheel, and, leave the floor jack on the nearby...
Done some events in Missouri, Kentucky and Colorado, but mainly in Pittsville Illinois. Used to belong to the Two Rivers Jeep Club in Pittsville Illinois several years ago. Have done some rock crawls, lots of steep mud/obstacle/off-camber trails, ditch climbs and puddle jumps upto the doors...
They have a flap with velcro that leaves just a tiny gap that will allow the signal to get through. But only works close up or in the car. Otherwise no connection.
We keep all of our proximity keys in Faraday bags. Our bags will reduce the signal to just a few feet, enough to startt the car if in it. As far as unlocking the doors, it only appears to work if sensed that the individual touching the handle has the bag with them.
The ops story is how I typically deal as well. However, in my experience, you have to be willing to also travel. When I bought my new 2012 GT500 convertible, found a dealer who had been sitting on one for 6 months and was using it as eye candy on a turntable in a large Chicago Ford dealership...
Have got invalid collision warnings or sensor issues from other vehicles due to dirt, road grime, snow, and ice. Would occasionally have to pull over and clean the area where the sensor resided.... in this case my Hyundai Sonata which was behind the grill emblem that at times could collect lots...
This is off the net:
"Yes, the 2026 Ford Maverick equipped with the 4K Tow Package features a smart trailer light test system, which is part of the upgraded trailer towing capabilities. This feature is designed to check trailer lights via the infotainment system, particularly in combination...
