Looked through the owners manual several times trying to find the passage about the "one minute cool down" idle recommendation...The past three Escapes the g/f owned that all went past 100K with oil changes done at the dealership at 5K and not one ever got "coked up" on the turbo....she once...

I worked at a full service gas station in 1979 through 1982 (Mobil Gas Station) and remember when Mobil 1 first came out - could not mix it with conventional oil. Had a stack of stickers to put under the hood and on the dip stick warning that the car had Mobil 1 in the crankcase. Was also told...

I know I may change my oil "too much", but first change was @5K miles with NAPA synthetic (meets Ford Spec) with a NAPA Proformer filter at the six month mark....next change was at dealership @9K again with Ford hybrid spec full synthetic oil and a Motorcraft filter....at the 1 year mark...

Lets see....where have I seen this design before....

I am very pleased with my fuel economy with my hybrid....some highway speeds and some mixed suburban driving...
