    The current eCVT in the 22-24 is the HF45. The 25s will have the HF55. Both use planetary gears.

    They don’t have any in stock….. They don’t even start building them until tomorrow. Then there will be a 6 week hold for quality checks. The earliest they will get one is January.

    That's the complete opposite of have what I have read about eCVTs. eCVTs are very simple with a lot less parts than a traditional transmission.

    I think when the Maverick is redesigned sometime between 2028 and 2030 it will get a 4.8-5 foot bed, more structural strength and 5k tow option. I can also see the next version being hybrid only. If that is the case than the Maverick will start taking over even more of the midsize market.

    That's interesting since the Toyota Prius uses a very similar eCVT and lots of them getting 200,000 plus and some over 300,000 miles. It's a very reliable transmission.

    You are thinking of a CVT. An eCVT is one of the most reliable transmission you can get. Big differences between a CVT and eCVT.
