Of the questions which I am able to answer, makes no difference whether ecoboost or hybrid: 1) No rear defrost on any trim. 2) Leather-look seats only come with Lariat trim.

Pure speculation but on its face it sounds as if the ordering system is glitched (would hardly be a first). Likely only a skeleton crew on duty for the holiday so there could be added delay until Ford's IT techs replace the hamster powering it.

This guy seems to know whereof he speaks, and pointedly does not recommend using Forscan (about the 1:04 mark). Would surmise the Maverick would react no differently than other Ford trucks with auto on/off.
