The most credible reporting to date is that drop-in liners don't even rise to the level of appearing as a constraint item. Rather they are relegated to the Late Availability list, essentially a notation that there are none in the pipleine for any build configuration. Zero percent. Zilch. Goose egg.
The rundown.
1) Dialed toll-free number, got a general service operator who asked which model vehicle I was calling about, then connected me to a Maverick person. Put on hold for a very short interval before someone picked up.

Prezactly. Primary reason I put off calling Ford until months after the initial order is because of numerous comments herein saying one MUST have those numbers beforehand, which is not the case.
When I say "they" provided me with the data over the phone, I mean Ford did, not the dealer. So, at least in my experience, it is not a requirement to have an order number and a dealer number prior to calling Ford.
For the record, getting any info out of my dealer has been an ongoing task which would strain the abilities of Hercules.
Eventually, after several months, called the toll-free Ford number to achieve peace of mind that my order really is marinating in the system and they provided me the order...
It could be a come-on, or an attempt at bait and switch.
Alternatively, it could be a truck with a confirmed VIN for a customer order from someone who backed out of the decision to purchase or even (worst case) died.
As getting anything other than empty generalities out of the one and only local dealer has been nigh unto impossible, finally called yesterday just to achieve the piece of mind that I'm extant in the system (ordered August 1, never received a confirmation e-mail).
