On a value truck, the difference in price is a much higher percentage than it would be on a more expensive truck. The $250 difference between the drop-in and the spray-in is over 1% of the total value of the vehicle, if it was a base XL. On a new full-size truck, it would be .3-.5% or so.

The people paying nearly double for a budget truck or car aren’t the smartest tools in the shed. These aren’t people who have a retirement plan, they are people living off of credit. There are convenience charges, and then there’s idiocy.
Delivery is taking so long I was able to save up enough to pay cash... which I am thankful for now with the higher interest rates. 7% or more with excellent credit and 20% downpayment or more is just madness to me.
The 2024 Ranger is sexy (already out in Australia). With that said, it only achieves about 20.5 MPG (11.5 liters per 100 kilometers). The additional cost, but the vastly different fuel economy makes it a completely different class of vehicle.

Priority code is used at the dealer level only. Dealer’s allocations, and your order configuration play the most important roles in where you’ll end up in the order allocation.
They clearly have a way to see the rollovers, that is outside of the priority codes.
If you got a VIN, you are going to get a MY22. They’ll keep pushing build dates all the way to 12/31 if they have to.
I’d wager this all comes down to the updated airbags being a resource constraint at the moment.
