I don't think we'll ever know why. A manufacturer wouldn't share a flaw found in testing and this isn't common enough for a class action thing. Only time will tell. Hoping my '24 hybrid will last a long time but I'm going to take a look at that fuel line.
For the price point my '24 XLT hybrid with everything I wanted on it is just fine. I love the utility and efficiency. I don't have a problem with the interior except I wish there were less automatic controls like the stupid electric parking brake.
If it were more "premium" it would be pricier...
4- some critter with a evil chewing compulsion spent some time in the engine bay.
You're right, we'll see. I would have liked to take a close look at that leak. Good thing it's the hybrid with the lower pressure fuel. The direct injection would have squirted even harder.
Well, that's kinda what I meant.
At almost 50mpg and purchased my '24 for a very good price and living up north I can't justify an EV.
I wonder how long it takes to receive your Maverick now? From when I ordered in '22 it took at least 16 months. The wait made me a little crazy. I work close...
Oh, yes. More than once. Because I've hit the little lever by the door handle multiple times I didn't worry, at first.
Well, there's worse places........
Do bad things count? I was an idiot and stuck my key fob in the cubby of my XLT while I went through some stuff on the passenger seat. Didn't put the key in my pocket. When I came back it was locked and I tried all the doors hoping on magic but, no.
I called the police and when the officer...
Left my key in the cubby and it locked itself. Or, maybe I did it.(XLT) I called the cops and it took him 5 minutes to unlock the door with a rod. Pretty easy. Too easy?
So, know a locked door is a small impediment.
Yeah, same for me. Back in '23 I'd stop and talk to the very rare Maverick driver and we'd
commiserate about the long wait and the ordering process and now the Mavs are all over the place.
If I bump up to the curb I put it into neutral to take any pressure of it before I put it in park so there's no load on the pawl. And, I don't like that "thunk" when I take it out of park later.
Less is more. That's one reason I like my motorcycle, no automatic anything. I'm surprised the government nannies still let them on the road.
I don't have a lot of the driver aids on my '24 XLT but I still am irritated by some of what I do have. The almost 50mpg average still makes up for a...
I wonder what happens to the extra regen when the battery is full? Is there a big dump resistor somewhere or does the generator stop generating. If there's no generator output there's no slowing effect and you're back to 100% friction breaking.
