Sending letters takes time, and e-mail isn't connected to registration records like mailing addresses are. It'd show up in FordPass app, though, if one had that set up.
  2. Hybrid Ditch Light Install Power?

The red post is technically better. Attaching a terminal to the black post creates a potential where the DC-DC converter could be shorted directly to ground; there's a 300A fuse integrated into the bottom of the post before it connects to the junction box bus bar that the red jumper post is...

The NHTSA filing isn't up yet and that usually goes into some detail into how they made the determination of the fault and affected population of vehicles. It is interesting that it only affects the Hermosillo plant, so it's not a fundamental issue with the C2 architecture/supply chain else it...

Explorer was a completely different chassis than the Escape (longitudinal BOF vs transverse unibody), and it had the 4.6L mod motor.
  12. Parking aid not working

If you had the backup camera recall which affected the Connected Touch Radio then I suspect you don't have a Lariat w/ Luxury Package which was necessary for the backup distance sensors.

  17. How the Hybrid and CVT works

It's worth pointing out that Ford's hybrids always used the parallel motor layout, even for the first two generations they were being produced by Aisin (Toyota's powertrain subsidiary). So it wasn't like Ford moved away from the relationship to improve the design, and the first two in-house...

Chrysler (Pacifica), Mazda, and Subaru utilize planetary eCVTs most comparable.
