I am learning how to spend more money from you guys... You brought a couple of things to my attention that I didn't know needed my attention... Shock covers? Rear bumper cover plate? Ok, adding them to the wish list... Keep the ideas coming!
I would just put a battery tender on it and forget it. Or as someone else stated you could pull the battery cables off the terminal, but I don't know how that affects the BMS and all that other gadgetry they have going on.
The title says it all. What was the first thing you bought for your Maverick? What made it the first thing? What have you bought for your Maverick that you regret buying?
I have a pile of stuff waiting in my Amazon cart to get, but I was curious what others bought first and why.
Plastic fuel line... the race to the bottom illustrated without the sports... I hope there will be a swimsuit edition. This is just pure crazy, plastic fuel line. I remember the first time I saw people with the Chevy Cruze first reporting overheating problems back when those cars were new...
You have to remember this is Toyota we are talking about. They have been rumbling about compact trucks and solid state batteries for a decade now and it hasn't happened. By the time they actually do bring something maybe 2027-2028 there will be a LOT more chargers than there are today. But a...
It took quite some time and multiple iterations to get past the 6.0 Powerstroke mess. Other than their insistence on putting a CP4 pump on the 6.7 that grenades it appears to be solid. They refuse to back track on the CP4. It may very well be related to the fuel quality in the US. I...
The details seem pretty sketchy, but here is the rumor that is floating... Toyota and Subaru teaming up on this "money printing machine". LOL

Love to hear a positive shoutout for the dealers that take care of the customer. Agreed, if Ford is monitoring and we know they are they need to get up on the wheel here... We aren't in Kansas anymore... LOL
The 25 Ecoboost gets the port injection to address the intake issues with GDI engines. But I would snag one up before the next builds start rolling out with the GPF filters. We are getting mixed messages about which markets are affected by the GPF. Some reports say only the CARB states will...
My vehicles are usually inside so no remote starting an internal combustion vehicle indoors for me. The telematics has the ability to keep waking up the truck, especially noted with poorly coded apps that are constantly pinging the vehicle and waking stuff up. That specific behavior has been...
Make sure you have a jump pack. It is pretty clear that this issue hasn't been resolved. My vehicles sit for longer periods of time unused and then get used a lot. Then we rinse and repeat. In my case I will be keeping a battery tender on mine. At least until I see the all clear signal on...
The reason these oil threads go off the rails is because people don't understand what the viscosity numbers even mean.
People actually think 0w, or 5w means really really thin oil and that that second number is what it thickens up to... It does not work that way. SAE J300 is the spec that...
The dates appear to be all over the map. My delivery dates have been delayed by a couple of days on both ends of the delivery window. Now latest date is 7/6 for delivery per the dealer. The web site still says 7/5 at the moment and started off at 7/3 as the latest date for the delivery...
I am sure I am probably remembering wrong, but I thought that service bulletin for the AC and software update was for vehicles manufactured before sometime late April. It may be that this truck needs to be updated. But I also agree that one of the vampire drains is likely the telematics...
Looking at my delivery date it is pressing right up against this deadline so I doubt this is going to work out. I emailed the dealer to give them the heads up to see if there is anything they can do to make the deadline. Not hopeful at the moment. The delivery date is sliding on me.
I had the same delivery date, but I just rechecked it yesterday and now it is moved out to the 5th. So it is sliding. I have a first responder/military discount that will expire on 7/7. I am holding my breath now. I emailed the dealer to make sure they are aware of the situation if there is...
