I didn't say I was satisfied with that solution. If I am dis-satisfied and concerned about it I will do something about it. Since I don't yet have my truck I have nothing to be dis-satisifed about yet. But I am here on this forum to learn, share, inform, help in any way I can. That is why...
I completely sympathize with the OP's comments. It is very frustrating when you feel there is a problem and it isn't being addressed. However as others have noted I don't know that Ford has even officially acknowledged there is a problem with the 12v system which is a problem in and of itself...
Ok cowboy... I just said this process is automatic, and you will know when it is happening. Would help if you bothered to look up the known issues with PPF in the "already doing it for 8 years EU". But you apparently have some sort of agenda some sort of cognitive dissonance, or worse...
The quality of diesel fuel in the US is a huge problem. The cetane is too low and so is the lubricity. New trucks with the Bosch CP4 fuel pump grenade here in the us, but seem to work fine in other markets besides the US. The recommendation is to get a good quality fuel additive. There has...
Yeah, we are worried about CAFE, but the answer is you need to get on it and run it out and keep on driving... Nothing contradictory about any of that thinking at all. ROFL
When the regen fires up it will tell you and it will remind you to keep driving. You will want a section of highway...
Man you got some good Koolaid. Well we will see. You know people are running that 2.0 Ecoboost that is reconfigured to run on that GPF right now? Right? You hear anyone saying their fuel economy is UP? And they don't even have the GPF on theirs. I think you need to go take another look...
I have seen a lot of OEM's pull out the 1 qt per 1000 mi out of their backside when they know they have a problem. And sadly it isn't as uncommon as many would think. It is all CYA by the OEMs when people start reporting excessive oil consumption.
If you have ever run a diesel you then know as soon as that regen fires up your fuel economy is out the window. They aren't going to make their CAFE numbers with the GPF. Something is going to have to give.
I found out a long time ago when I was commuting lots of miles daily that if I hypermiled, easy on, easy off the go pedal, coast, and keep my tire pressures up my tires lasted forever. Occasionally I have had a vehicle that likes to chew up tires, but for the most part tires seem to last a long...
We are repeating what Ford is telling us. You could apparently get the 50 states package on any truck, but now Ford came back and told the dealers to drop the 50 states package from orders outside of CARB states. And I wouldn't believe a word of any of the Trump and the EPA theater until you...
Ok, Just a heads up for anyone who has ordered a truck and waiting for it to arrive. If you are getting the Military Recognition Program cash reward discount and it is going to expire before the truck arrives and you can close the deal. I reached out to Ford last night. They replied to me...
My order was supposed to get delivered this week, but Ford slid the delivery date out to 7/7 today. Ironically that is when the cash promotions end. So it looks like the promotion incentive is going to expire before I can close the deal. Pretty sad, ordered in April and couldn't get the truck...
Congrats. From the last update on orders it sounded like most of the Maverick orders are being held up at the moment due to constraints. This is good news that some of the orders are still getting scheduled.
Current Maverick orders are being scheduled for the end of August right now. Order banks for 2026 models has already opened for some Ford models. To you this is July 2025. To Ford is the the "planting season" to get the 2026 orders and production setup. If you want to understand orders...
Too many lines, too many vehicles. They can't flip production with the flip of a switch. We are at the end of the 2025 production year. That is why it is being rolled out now.
