I am looking forward to doing some oil samples to see how the Hybrid deals with condensation and fuel dilution since it doesn't run consistently or get that warm. The OLM knows how long it has run, what the temps were, how many cycles the injectors have fired etc. It is working from actual...
It appears that the futurists, engineers, and companies are already rethinking the display and distractions. This is all concept, but it is an indication that things should be getting better and taking into account some of the concerns people are raising now. We have seen some of this is...
Follow that thread from Mabett about the preview of coming products. They have a picture of a cover, but not as nice as what was shown here. Unless of course the OP is interested in selling some? :)
Heated mirrors are clutch. There are heated cameras as well. Same effect. You already have the heated camera elements in most cars with cameras because the safety equipment now relies on it. Coming to the Maverick from a vehicle that was slathered with cameras I found I did get used to using...
Even just having a sensor that screams at you if you try to back up and there is something there would be welcome for sure, but eyeballs back there are awesome.
I get their point that yes, you can get out of the truck and go look to make sure you aren't about to back over the lawn mower that your wife just parked back there so you could put it away, a kid, a pet. Yes you can crane your neck around, bob, weave, and get a good eyeball. Those methods all...
I think if you listen to much of The Motor Oil Geek he shares the lab results and shares that many oils shear back 1 grade. The only way to really know how a specific oil is holding up is to send it off to the lab to find out. One video he was sharing a lineup of Mobil 1 oils and asking the...
As stated in the manual. 0w-20 full synthetic is the place to start with the oil. You pick your poison there.
Oil filters have become a real poop show with a lot of manufacturers cutting corners. Lots of people testing, and cutting open filters to find there are real issues right now and...
One day some young wipper snapper will see the wing vent windows and think it is the greatest invention ever and it will be included back in vehicles of some sort again. Lots of really interesting stuff from the past like a power roll down rear window. Trunks so large you could stack 6 bodies...
I spent a lot of time in an El Camino that was used as a truck most of the time and it really was pretty good. It was a thirsty beast, but it got the job done.
That under bed compartment does look nice. Plus lots of standard equipment that costs more on the Maverick. If they had offered a Hybrid I would have given the Cruz a serious look. That leaves the Maverick the only game in town I would consider for what I wanted.
