  1. Window Vents reduce wind noise?

The Maverick has the aerodynamics of a brick. If they wanted to make it as smooth as possible, it would have probably ended up looking something like the Hyundai Santa Cruz.
  2. Window Vents reduce wind noise?

I have WellVisors brand window deflectors and they significantly reduced wind noise across the windshield with the windows fully up. Even if you crack the windows open, air gently circulates within the cabin even at highway speeds. Without the WellVisors, the wind noise across the windshield was...
  3. Amazing A/C

YES, the AC is amazing! Just remember to use the OEM Motorcraft cabin filter. The cheaper multi-layered, carbon filters are too thick and restrict airflow which reduces the efficiency of the AC system.
  4. EGR window visors versus Wellvisors

These are how mine looked when putting them up in the sun. At just the right angle, they looked very brown. I contacted EGR and they said it shouldn't look like that so I guess mine were defective? Returned them and got return shipping refunded. I went with WellVisors and I like them a lot...
  5. Gas mileage

My MPG was low like yours when I first got the Maverick hybrid. Somewhere in the 20s. It gradually got better and hitting close to 40 MPG average. I am about 43 MPG average now, either the hotter SoCal weather helped or the truck itself is doing better. I'm not a careful driver, I race everyone...
  6. A bunch of similar floor mats

https://realtruck.com/p/3d-maxpider-elegant-carpeted-floor-liners/v/ford/maverick/2022/ 3D Maxpider Elegant carpeted floor liners for front and rear. Pricey but I like how thick they are and they stay put. Raised edges for some spill protection. Contact Alex at RealTruck for a forum discount.
  7. [SOLD] For Sale: 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeaks AT3W

I might be interested in picking these up. How much are you selling them for?
  8. Continental tire supply chain issue

How do you like the CrossContact ATR tires so far? Road noise and handling? I've been looking at those tires but they are quite new with no reviews but they are super cheap if I apply for the rebate and use Continental Tire credit card for an additional rebate of $110. $220 total in rebates...
  9. Retractable Windshield Sunshade

Ceramic tint blocks a high amount of infrared heat which helps keep the interior cool. They block 99.9% of UV rays which is better than the OEM windshield. I have YelloPro Sun Shades for the windshield and two front windows. It's not retractable and don't fold up small but man, do they BLOCK...
  10. Acceleration help from the Electric motor?

Electric motors produce max torque at 0 RPM. This torque helps propel the truck forward when accelerating from a dead stop. At a certain speed, the gas engine kicks in, and that with the electric motor keeps the acceleration going. Gas engines produce 0 torque at 0 rpm so when the gas engine...
  11. Very Brief Ride Comparison

Got airbag recall done and dealer had me in a Ford Edge loaner. Ride was softer and floaty and steering felt a bit loose. Made me really appreciate the Maverick's "tautness" in both ride and handling. Maverick's ride is definitely firm but smooth.
  12. Maverick in hot temperature

    121 degrees!!? 😳 Should have taken a picture with Baker's World's Tallest Thermometer 😆
  13. *Resolved* Direct Factory Parts Scam - Bait and Switch

The one on the left is an older version and I think it caused the hood to shake at highway speeds. So they got rid of the bump and kept it flush on the newer version. The stock photo still shows the old version but the part number should reflect the newer version which is why it's confusing. The...
  14. Has anyone gone with a window tint for the front door windows that is a shade lighter than the back?

No problem! I like a light tint as well and would have probably gone with 50% for a little more privacy but just enough visibility to see me wave when it's your turn at a 4-way stop sign. If you go with a light tint, go with ceramic for better heat rejection. You can get top-tier NANO-ceramic...
  15. Has anyone gone with a window tint for the front door windows that is a shade lighter than the back?

I have mine tinted 70% front windows and front windshield. Got Johnson Films InsulatIR nano-ceramic and the lighter 70% tints have a slight blue hue to them but give the best performance at blocking heat. This is how it looks if you barely want to tint the fronts  Front sides are AS2...
  16. Roof diffuser / vortex generator

Using vortex generators to improve rear vision mirror aerodynamic flow The use of vortex generators near the side view mirrors would possibly reduce wind noise and wind buffeting at highway speeds. Wind noise is quite loud on these particular areas of the windshield/side view mirrors.
  17. Project RadMav

How did you source the Bronco Sport Badlands wheels? I keep searching for them to see if anyone has them for sale but super hard to find. I like how they look on the Maverick. Truck looks great!
  18. Popping and fried egg noise

Check battery under rear seat. The battery is AGM and needs a vent. Port may be blocked and popped off the tube connector that vents to the outside. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/hybrid-12v-battery-is-single-port-vented-to-the-outside-maybe-a-fleet-battery.6440/
