I've been looking at this: https://www.bestop.com/products/supertop-for-truck-2-ford-2015-2021-f-150/
It's a soft top that collapses away completely when not in use, and the price point is comparable with tonneau covers I've been looking at. I wouldn't get it if you live/work in a shady area...
Congratulations! When did you place your order? I wonder if it could also be something else in the Lux package holding up orders - I've heard a lot of complaints about lux packages not being scheduled. I have an XLT Lux Hybrid on order, but I don't have high hopes for being scheduled anytime...
I believe spray-in bedliner is considered "constrained" at this point (based on what some other threads have said). Not late availability, so they're still scheduling, but less of them than orders without them. Plus, a certain percentage of spray-in bedliners are being reserved for Lux packages...
For those concerned about leather/ActiveX seats, don't forget that aftermarket upgrades are an option. I'm set on the XLT Lux (I prefer a physical key and dislike the Lariat interior), but I have cats and dogs that need to ride from time to time, and leather makes all the difference.
I plan to...
I'm attracted to both the hard and soft tri-fold tonneaus - haven't decided which yet. My reason why is because most models can be completely detached and stowed after being folded, which eliminates the blockage on the rear window. I don't believe soft or hard roll-ups can do that (I could be...
Testing the waters here for something. I like the interior on the XL better, but I've decided that it's probably best for me to get an XLT rather than trying to add heated seats, heated steering, cruise control, etc. all aftermarket. Would someone ordering an XL be interested in a "trim swap" at...
One of the things I'm really looking forward to with all of these bare-bones XLs being chosen for scheduling is all of the nice XL pictures and videos that'll flood the forum soon. Really looking forward to some better documenting of the XL's interior, like we have for the XLT and Lariat.
I...
I have a black headliner in my current hatchback, and it admittedly feels different, but not like I'm in a tomb. I may have just gotten used to it though, and now I notice the beige more because that's the way I'm used to having it.
Unless the rest of the interior is grey or beige to match, I can't stand them. Why can't auto manufacturers just make the headliner match the rest of the interior? I realize it probably has some sort of useful property, i.e. making the car feel "more open" or helping it stay cool, but I'd rather...
The main aftermarket change I'll be doing is the god-awful beige headliner in the Mav. I'm getting an XL, so the plan is to possibly paint the plastic areas navy and re-upholster the headliner in black. Beige headliners (unless the rest of the interior is beige) are a pet peeve of mine.
Other...
Same! I got the sunroof and rear window on mine too. I plan to redo the beige pillars and headliner in mine into something black (or maybe navy, like some of the other interior surfaces). That'll be my main "dolling up" I think, since I have to look at the interior all day anyways.
I've been...
Good idea! I'll have to keep an eye out for those too. I'd have to paint over or replace the Bronco emblem in the middle, which would bother me on the Mav, but it would be easy 🤣
The saving a few G's is definitely a big motivator for me. I was going to finance the XLT for either 60 or 72 months (depending on rates), but with the XL, I can bump that down to 48 months (or possibly even 36 if I really go for it). Lots of interest savings there on top of the lower price...
I have an order in for an XLT, but the more I think about it, the less I feel like I need the extras that come with it. Heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors, and wiper rest were the only features I was buying it for, but with the ability to remote-start the truck through FordPass, are they...
Younger lady here! This'll be the first vehicle I purchase myself. I'm currently in a Chevy Cruze that's been having transmission issues since getting acquainted with a deer last year. I'll be happy to be rid of it.
I come from a GM family, and I didn't think a truck would be in reach for me at...
I think the best way to use the card is probably to spend enough to qualify for those cash back incentives, especially on service and dealership parts/accessories to qualify for 10% back and 5% back respectively. Hell, even 3% on gas and tolls isn't bad in my opinion, if I needed a little extra...
I could see chase Sapphire preferred being great if you travel and eat out a lot. As someone who doesn't, though, I think I personally will get more benefit from the Ford Visa. The beautiful thing about that is there's a credit card out there for just about everyone.
