  1. Does Rotary Shifter suck?

No it does not suck. It works great for me. Took me only a week to get used to it. People seem to have no patience anymore.
  2. Hybrid A/C noise?

I take it that you recorded this outside the truck. Also was the hood open? I experience similar noises but not at that volume when outside and the hood closed. When inside and the doors are closed I hardly notice the noise.
  3. Wow, I just got this Dash Cover with a Nice Surprise, "Maverick" in Red Letters!

I can't see the benefit of using a black carpet cover that will absorb the sun's heat and then reradiate it to the inside of the cabin. I use this shade that blocks the sun's rays from even entering the cabin. KUST Windshield Shade Custom Fit for Ford Maverick

@Newface I searched and this report seems to be the last one published and is now about one month old. Will you be publishing more current ones? Thanks

  7. Axle Half / Shafts being replaced under warranty - Yep they are problematic

These are the threads with the word "axle" in the title #1 My first warranty claim: Axle Replace - Right Front Axle is leaking everywhere & replace right front control arm So lifted truck caused Right Front Axle to leak #2 Truck broke down! Front axle and transmission issue after 60 miles...
  8. Axle Half / Shafts being replaced under warranty - Yep they are problematic

You got lucky that they covered it under warranty. Most of the failures (Boots - Half Shafts) I have seen on this forum seem to be related to lift kits. You should also change the title of this thread as they are not problematic on unmodified non lifted Mavericks. To something like this: Axle...
  9. Dial Shifter -- accidentally bumping the shifter dial and it going into neutral while driving

Never had any issues with over 2+ years of owning a Maverick.
  10. To recall or not to recall?

I had recalls 24S27 Body Control Module BCM Software Update, 24C01 Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Illumination and 23C41 Turn Signal Outage Detection Failure done by Five Star Ford of Dallas Ford Mobile Service. Took about 1 1/2 hours but since it was the mobile service it did not impact any of...
  11. Help me give info to NHTSA - rear view camera (time sensitive)

Yes it is occasionally laggy. I have all recalls done on my MY23 Maverick Hybrid. Just today when trying to back out of my garage in reverse with my foot on the brake the camera showed a blank screen for at least 5 seconds. I put the truck back into park then tried reverse again and the camera...
  12. 3 Recalls done and 1st Oil Change today

And yet Motorcraft oil 0W-20 can still be purchased as a Synthetic Blend Motorcraft 0w20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil 12x1 Quarts As for presently who knows if a small Ford dealership still has some bulk 0W20 Synthetic Blend that they put in mistakenly. I agree with the OP to have the oil...
  13. AGM for Hybrid

If you charge any battery in the Ford Hybrid twice a month it should not ever go into Deep Sleep. It may however lower the battery life. I have had only two deep sleep messages on my MY23 Hybrid over the nine months of ownership. When they have happened they were of no issue or inconvenience...
  14. Recalls don't shoot me

I had recalls 24S27 Body Control Module BCM Software Update, 24C01 Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Illumination and 23C41 Turn Signal Outage Detection Failure done by Five Star Ford of Dallas Ford Mobile Service. They too are having the same problem with the CDK hack but they did the recalls with...
  15. WARNING: Be Sure to attach a Charger (especially on a Hybrid) to prevent Electrical Load Shedding during updating

The problem for the hybrid is that Ford doesn't do fully charged on it. Mine was at 26% charge even though I drive daily.
  16. WARNING: Be Sure to attach a Charger (especially on a Hybrid) to prevent Electrical Load Shedding during updating

I too saw that but the tech who came to do my updates didn't have a working charger (he stated it burnt out hooking it up to a vehicle at an auction) so after I insisted he attached a jumper cable from the Ford Mobile Service Van to the Jump points under the hood. I felt if I didn't insist the...
  17. WARNING: Be Sure to attach a Charger (especially on a Hybrid) to prevent Electrical Load Shedding during updating

Electrical Load Shedding on Late-model Vehicles Explained From the above article:
  18. Recalls don't shoot me

I also recommend using the Ford Mobile Service to get the updates done at your home/work location. I used Five Star Ford of Dallas Ford Mobile Service as the dealer where I purchased my Maverick was not offering Ford Mobile Service. Five Star Ford of Dallas Mobile Service I had recalls 24S27...
  19. Electric A/C

There also an advantage that being electric that it is instant on and needs no pulley or clutch that is needed on the EcoBoost Maverick so less cost if those need to be replaced.
  20. Electric A/C

AC will impact MPG more than Heating. AC is powered by the HV battery only and will need the ICE engine to recharge the HV battery when it gets too low of charge. Heat comes from the ICE engine. So initially the ICE will need to run some time to generate it but on longer trips the ICE can shut...
