Great job. If you ever want work, I have seen a lot of instruction manuals that could use your expertise. Thank you for your experience and the useful information.
That is not my welding skills. That is the Ford receiver installed. Yes, witing for your harness info. Hopefully, I can use Ford Pass Points at Dealer to buy the harness.
What APP on your Samsung G7 are you using to play your music files? I used to use Google Play, but it is discontinued. I now use Amazon Music, but it is too complicated. I need a free, simple MP3 player APP for my old Android phone.
After I picked up my Hybrid in January, 2022, my neighbor came over, fell in love, and placed an order with Gullo Toyota for an XL EB, Area 51. The ordered car arrived in 3 months! Today they are basking together in the Texas sun...and pollen.
I think that you could make the drawer(s) taller. See example: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/ford-maverick-2022-compatible-cubby-storage-box.12439/
I did the exact same. That is why I was installing a receiver today and now have an original, "non-receiver" crash bar laying in my garage, looking for a home.
Why would you want an original crash bar? Like Ado, I also now have one packed in my trailer hitch receiver box, with no where to go. Mine is in Houston.
Great instructions. I completed the installation in 2 1/2 hours. Dealer said that I could NOT use Ford Pass Points for installation labor. Points are for parts only, but, you cannot use points on the Ford Part site, where I bought my hitch. I never even got an installation quote from my dealer...
If you are comfortable with your welding ability, you could add a receiver to the existing crash bar. These pictures show the Ford accessory hitch, which appears to be just a receiver welded to a regular crash bar.
I am confused as to why a simple 4-pin plug should be so difficult to splice into the existing tail lights. Everything that I have owned in the past 20 years had pre-installed hitch and plug, so I am out of touch on modern car electronics. In the old days, we simply tapped into the tail lights...
Sunday afternoon project complete, all thanks to Adospeed for his exceptional instructions. Thanks again! Now, dark trailer until Bronco Sport Harness updates.
Thanks for all of your help. It was cold and rainy last weekend, so I did not install my hitch, yet. I am still waiting for a quote from the local dealer for hitch and harness install using my Ford Pass Points....fingers crossed.
