  1. Had my new 2024 Maverick bed Line-X sprayed today!

That looks awesome. I have been putting this mod off and making do with a bed mat. At that price it is a no brainer. Also, that line-x logo is the perfect shape for a Ford emblem. I don’t know why I don’t like aftermarket badges. I put a Ford emblem over my AVS bug deflector logo and also...
  2. Any Ideas How To Reduce Side View Mirror Night Glare?

Shape 1 is without spotter mirror, shape 2 is with the spotter. There is no clear indication of this other than when scrolling left on the pictures the silhouette of the non-spotter is first and the spotter is second. I am not affiliated with this seller in any way. I believe it is someone’s...
  3. Any Ideas How To Reduce Side View Mirror Night Glare?

Not in my experience. I haven’t had any visibility issues, day or night. I would say the auto-dimming rear view mirror cuts down night visibility much more when dimmed but it also cuts glare better. I haven’t tinted my front windows yet, for what that’s worth. I am 100% happy with the tint, no...
  4. Any Ideas How To Reduce Side View Mirror Night Glare?

I added KDX anti-glare tint to the side mirrors and a Gentex auto-dimming rear view mirror. Now I no longer have to duck and dodge the glare in my mirrors when driving at night. The tint is good, not as good as an auto-dimming mirror but definitely better than nothing. The link below is to...
  5. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

It's not so much the volume as it is the infernal racket. The 2.0 Ecoboost is a great engine it just sounds like hot garbage. Non-cold started WITH a 3 inch high density foam cover:
  6. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

It helped alot. I was not sure I could live with the noise of Ecoboost cold start. I went from being super happy about my purchase to being full of regret in about 1 second flat. Returning the truck wasn't an option and so I obsessively started looking for a solution. Took it back to the dealer...
  7. Installing auto start stop eliminator

What is there now is definitely not the factory port. If you bought it from a Ford dealer I would take it back and tell them you want it returned to factory parts.
  8. Installing auto start stop eliminator

Wow, glad you found it sooner rather than later. Are you going to confront the seller about it? Your factory OBD port is gone, I would assume. Don't pay too much mind to the nay sayers. The Auto Start Eliminator was one of my first purchases. It works flawlessly and has the added bonus of being...
  9. Installing auto start stop eliminator

That OBD II port does not look correct, at all. It lacks the notch at the bottom that I feel for every time I hook up my OBD link to make sure I have the connector in the correct orientation. Also it is not as triangular as the OE OBD II port. It looks a lot like the port in the universal...
  10. Maxzina-Maverick Inner Door Sill Protector Available Now!

Hi, Maxzina. I love you but when will I get my 10 piece sill protector set!?!?!?
  11. Is this the most ridiculous article title ever?

I read it. Seemed like a factual and reasonable article.
  12. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

The Bronco Sport uses the same insulators but has a better diagram. Now I'm wondering about all these other insulators. Hmmmm... https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/other-body-related-parts-front/dash-panel-insulator-engine-compartment-insulation-front-p-jx6z5801492a?pdp=y#/collapseRelated6
  13. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

Look at the giant foam mountain Ford engineers put on top of the 2.3 ecboost and tell me they aren’t aware of an excessive noise issue. This giant foam iceberg goes OVER the foam cap that is supposed to suffice on the 2.0. I refer back to my half deaf boomer theory. You guys probably yell at...
  14. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

I agree that once the engine is warm and at idle the sound of the DI could be considered tolerable. But here is my conspiracy theory on that; every time I test drove a Maverick before purchasing, the considerate sales person had warmed the engine up to normal operating temperature beforehand...
  15. What New Accessory Would You Love to See? Share Your Ideas and Win Prize!

Well since this thread has been brought back from the dead. A high quality rubber, soft touch, knobby gear selector ring overlay. Sort of like the aluminum pieces already out.
  16. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

I owned a New Edge Mustang Cobra with deleted cats when I was younger. I don’t mind loud vehicles that sound good. I do mind the infernal racket of the Ecoboost HPFP. Really all I did was add back the sound deadening Ford has removed over the past few model years. It was removed as a cost...
  17. Any success in adding sound dampener insulation to under the hood for noise reduction?

I would say the hood mat cut sound down 10%. The engine cover 20%. The cowl insulation 5%. The fender insulation 5%. The intake butyl and foam wrap another 5%. All together close to a 50% reduction guesstimate. It cut the high frequency harshness of the HPFP.
  18. First oil change on 24 hybrid , 11,500 miles , pretty happy with Ford quick lane .

Check your oil level if you haven't already. I used Fast Lane for my first oil change and they overfilled by at least half a quart. The level was a quarter inch over the max fill mark. I'm assuming dumping 6 quarts in was just easier then measuring 5.6 quarts. I took it back and asked the...
