I just ran a NOCO quick connect to top off the battery every two to three weeks. Seems to keep the truck happy for now.
Extreme cold, below -18C/0F, at least in my case prevents the battery from being charged fully when using a smart charger. One reboots after sometime getting to 100%. My other...
Taking in mine in the day after the long weekend. Hopefully it shouldn't take long. The service writer noticed I had an appointment booked for an oil change and has both recalls to be done on the same day.
Told the guy he can schedule it for another time, wasn't fazed.
Who knows, maybe...
Been waiting over a year for them to come up in stock and they never showed up in the system at the dealer. Ford has them listed as an accessory since the truck's been for sale. They seem to wrap around the door, snug fit, and with 3M VHB tape on the exterior side.
Noticed my passenger side was...
$24 from the dealership? I was quoted $50-60 lol
Still waiting on Ford to get the actual Putco Black Stainless Steel with Keypad trims in stock. They are available for Maverick'a without a keypad.
For the front mudflaps did you put the felt liner back in place like factory, or in front of plastic trim like the installation instructions?
Just installed mine and noticed with the felt behind the plastic trim the gap is quite wide and a tad loose.
The PPF was a royal pain to get in place...
Forscan Lite and a OBD dongle, works well on Ford's.
Resetting the BMS brings back the Auto-SS, temporary if you don't charge the battery, longer if you do.
OEM battery for the Ecoboost I don't think is rated for 900CCA, aftermarket AGMs are roughly 760CCA.
With your Hybrid, have you called your Ford dealership about the issue.
There's a TSB in regards to the Hybrid and the battery harness being the prime suspect. TSB Here.
edit: Derp, need sleep. Your vehicle starts, I presume. Granted your dealer can check if the batttery cable is a potential...
Maverick XLT here. I've never seen the infotainment system automatically update, despite having it enabled and a wireless AP in the garage.
If you manually press check for update, it will eventually download one after a few tries, depending on the moon (joke), ISP, internet stability, etc.
EFB battery from the factory. FORSCAN was configured for AGM.
Usually a reset of the BMS is all you need to clear the low battery warning. Charging the battery after the reset is what I recommend. However, when checking the 'State of Charge' on Forscan the next day, off the charger, it can drop...
With the EB, you only need the vehicle in the ON position. However, depending on the speed of your WiFi relative to the distance, you'll need to stay with the vehicle. It's about a 500Mb file you have to download from (Ford) Microsoft Azure server/cloud.
I've come back after an hour and the...
I've heard multiple names. Ford Audio. Connected Touch Radio. Non-Sync. Can't afford the extra $4000-5000 radio. Peasant Infotainment lol
But like I said, they call it SYNC 2.5 across the pond and the updates are identical to what we're getting in the Maverick. At least I'm sticking with the...
I have not seen that message since I got my vehicle. Updates have not changed that at least from my experience.
If it keeps popping up, you could try doing a hard reset.
In regards to the FordPass App, up here in Canada it could also be different. I don't even think FordPass has the same...
The infotainment system in the Maverick isn't new or specific to the vehicle. It's been around for a while, especially in the European market. From what I gather, it was used in Ford Transit's & Focus' in that market.
If you look up the software version, it will lead you to sites that refer it...
Audio popping seems to have been resolved from G2.0.0.1, we'll see if that holds up, was intermittent.
Previous version had a bad habit of Bluetooth connecting when just opening the door on the Maverick (no key in ignition). Which can be a feature or bad.
Sync 2.5/Lite. We don't get an option to download updates via Ford. At least easily.
Haven't tried manually downloading the update and putting on a USB drive.
Try the check for updates at least 2/3 times.
Do a soft reset if it doesn't work.
Soft reset again, connect to another network. Repeat till update found.
Sync Lite makes it quite difficult to update it via WiFi, unless you have optimal conditions, blah blah. Even if your Hotspot/Mobile network is slightly slow the update fails.
If it fails to find an update after three times, you have to soft-reset using the Fast Forward and Power Button, and...
Looks like there's a new update for the infotainment system for Sync Lite/2.5.
Downloading as I type this.
New version: G2.1.0.1_R22362A (446MB)
Previous version: G2.0.0.1_R22285A
No clue what's been updated, hopefully it fixes the audio popping issues (happens sporadically).
Your luck may...
