Maverick XLT here. I've never seen the infotainment system automatically update, despite having it enabled and a wireless AP in the garage. If you manually press check for update, it will eventually download one after a few tries, depending on the moon (joke), ISP, internet stability, etc.

Audio popping seems to have been resolved from G2.0.0.1, we'll see if that holds up, was intermittent. Previous version had a bad habit of Bluetooth connecting when just opening the door on the Maverick (no key in ignition). Which can be a feature or bad.
